I am not very interested in hearing the same songs again however, if Richard were to appear with The Man, I would go. Will that happen? I seriously doubt it. I do so wish he would do a concert for the hardcore fans. Play Illusions in G Major, Across the Border, Ticket to the Moon. The songs that we die hard fans know and love best.

If only Team Jeff visited this site then they would see but alas, singing the (same) hits =£$£$£$£$

If Jeff actually says beforehand that a new set list will be performed then I'll be going, if not then I won't. Jeff could sing the phonebook and I'd still go. Yep, same here. I hope to get to see him again before he calls it quits. Can't think of a better way to spend a few hours.

If Jeff's people are on this board, I'd challenge them to tell Jeff that he needs to take *his* band to the countries where Bev took Part II. That's the challenge to Team Jeff. As it stands, Jeff has not sang on the Australian continent since 1978. Jeff is making a lot of money on these tours by largely playing the same songs. The least he could do before he joins Kelly in the great rock band in the sky is fly 18 hours to Sydney from LA. If he can't be bothered to visit the countries that Part II went to, I'll put a check in Part II's corner. Or maybe Jeff is simply lazy in his old age. At least the Stones have gone to South/Central America in the past few years.

Flying 18 hours is obviously not enjoyable but no doubt it will be 1st class with all the trimmings etc. I'd LOVE to fly 18 hours up at the front!

Dream on, guys. 90% of the set list comes from just 3 or 4 albums. These tours are only viable with the biggest arenas and 80% of the audience are there for the hits;just look at the audience reactions to 10538 and even Secret Messages and Twilight, they soon got dropped when Jeff realised most of the audience had probably never heard them before and frankly he was seriously pushing his luck when he opened the latter tour with Standin'in the Rain!

Very valid point. As much as we all would love to hear the non commercial masterpieces, he's going to play the hits on a tour because that's what a majority of the people want to hear and what makes the money to make it all work. If only all those in attendance could appreciate the whole catalogue, we'd get what we truly want.

Dream on, guys. 90% of the set list comes from just 3 or 4 albums. That's a very inaccurate assessment, and I'm going to prove it: Jeff's last setlist: Standin' in the Rain Evil Woman All Over the World Showdown Do Ya Livin' Thing Handle With Care Rockaria! Last Train to London Eldorado Overture Can't Get It Out of My Head 10538 Overture Shine a Little Love Wild West Hero Sweet Talkin' Woman Telephone Line Don't Bring Me Down Turn to Stone Mr. Blue Sky Encore: Roll Over Beethoven In terms of albums, that gives us this result: - OOTB: 5 - A New World Record: 4 - Discovery: 3 - Eldorado: 2 - Face the music: 2 - ELO (no answer): 1 - ELO 2: 1 - Xanadu: 1 - OTTD: 1 - Traveling Wilburys' Volume 1: 1 So, if we put them together to see the proportions, the results are... + 3 albums with most songs put together: 12 songs (56%) + Rest of the albums: 9 songs (43%) Even if you put together 4 albums, it's 66% against 33%. Still very far from from the 90% to 10% proportions you were mentioning.

Still very far from from the 90% to 10% proportions you were mentioning. Ok,ok,so I exaggerated (a little) for effect and to emphasise a still more valid point about the nature of the set-lists. The vast majority of material will always come from the 74-79 era ie.the hits. Jeff may well throw in the occasional rarer track but the audience response (at least in my experience) will be muted and polite rather than rapturous applause and cheers. As I mentioned, the response 10538/Twilight/Secret Messages got in Birmingham and elsewhere was indicative of an audience primarily there for the hits.Even the Tightrope intro had more than a few "fans" scratching their heads around me! If/when he does tour again don't expect anything vastly different from before when you're charging in people £100+ a ticket you'd better give them what they want. But I'll. probably still go anyway. You never know when it will be the last time.

Dear Jeff, How about doing one of those 'intimate' gigs? A place that holds maybe 200 and how about inviting true fans only (you could start with this forum) You could do some fairly obscure numbers such as Horace Wimp and I'm Alive that we the real fans will really appreciate. Maybe Concerto For A Rainy Day in full or even......songs from Time? I await your response, Timeblue.

What was the set list when Jeff did the Radio2 gig a few years ago?

I should have looked on 'setlist' originally,I have that site in my favourites Interesting to note that since they are now known as JLELO, the non FOON songs are 'covers'!
