I've just been speaking to Ian Hornal at a 10cc gig, and I asked him whether Jeff intended touring, and he said hopefully in the next couple of years, but nothing planned as yet. Ian is a great musician, and a terrific showman.

If this happens, which I still have my doubts about, he should bring Roy Wood onstage for an epic version of Marston Moor. We'd all be far more interested in this than in listening any other song on his setlist for the 3276403th time. Amen Hub Bub!

So much could happen with Jeff over the next 1-2 years. Better sooner than later.

If Jeff actually says beforehand that a new set list will be performed then I'll be going, if not then I won't. I'd love him to do an album a night like Kraftwerk did at the Tate Modern not so long ago .

ZZ Top is playing The Venetian Casino in Las Vegas for five nights starting 3 December. I'll be there on night one - once again, money that could go to ELO but no..........
Why doesn't Jeff do something like that? LV is 300 or so miles from LA.

My take on similar set lists...
I was too young to have had the pleasure of seeing the band in the 70s. By the 80s it was more or less wound up. Bev - bless him - brought the sound back in the late 80s. It wasn't the same.
Even though my best mate punched me in the side in the Hammersmith Apollo - sixth song - "that's the SIXTH lead vocalist!"... It wasn't the same. Eric, Neil or Kelly (bless him) didn't have Jeff's voice.
Since 2016 I haven't passed up the chance to see - and hear - him live on stage. I don't mind that he might feel comfortable singing the same stuff. It's Jeff. That's what matters.
Has anyone suggested to The Old Banger to record the telephone directory? smileys-whistling-823718

'Line' fits the song better than 'directory' does...

When Kelly was alive, I wish ELO Part II or The Orchestra would have played the songs he sang live on - like Nightrider, Poker, Sweet is the Night. Kelly could have sang lead on more tracks, but Jeff would not let him (for whatever reason).

Has anyone suggested to The Old Banger to record the telephone directory? No because any ELO fan worth his weight in salt knows that Jeff likes to write his own songs. Wait a minute. He could write the music. He hates writing the lyrics. This might work!
