Oh gosh, I found this thread via a web search whilst getting bored over Christmas. What memories! I was the typist of all those early issues from 2 onwards (and large parts of the later ones too!). I'm afraid I also did that cringey cartoon on the back of Issue 2 (I must have seen somewhere that Richard smoked (sorry if it upset some - it was a long time ago!). Those early ones were typed at work when I worked at Harrods Bank of all places. We all sat behind the cashiers which meant the customers in the store could see us so we had to look busy (older UK readers: think World of Sport - that's what it was like). So when there was nothing else to do out came the FTM copy! My fellow copy typist also did those discographies as she loved doing tables on typewriters (but she didn't get a credit for some reason). There was one issue (the one with fractals on the front - haven't seen it here yet) that was done by me & Gill on my little portable Canon typewriter as Andrew the Ed's computer wasn't available at the time. I typed, she laid out, in the old fashioned copy and paste way. I do have all the issues somewhere but after several house moves, quite a lot of them are still buried in boxes including the one I mentioned above. I have found some of the others though. Hopefully one day I may clear the boxes, but I've lived in my present abode for over 7 years now and they are still boxed up! I'll close for now, sorry for digging up such an old thread, but I've really enjoyed the memories! Serena I uploaded all these and I don't know why I didn't do 6,7 and 8. When I find time I'll do it. Do you still have your copies? I remember your name too, BTW where did Andrew end up? as he did a sterling job doing these mags.

Good to have you on the forum Serena, I remember your name as well!
Did you help sell the merchandise as Part 2 concerts or I’m I mistaken.

Good to have you on the forum Serena, I remember your name as well! Did you help sell the merchandise as Part 2 concerts or I’m I mistaken. Yes I did, 2006, 2008 & 2009. The tours lasted longer than my annual leave allowance so I did have to go back to work mid-tour each time, which meant I didn't do all the dates, but it was a great experience. It started in 2006. I'd lost my dad and was rather down - Gill thought it'd cheer me up helping her out. She travelled on the band bus, and stayed in the nice hotels. I followed in my little car, staying at B&Bs and Travelodges! Good times. They won't happen again, I fear. Serena

I remember Serena's name from the old days, but I didn't really follow ELO Part II when they were an active unit and didn't get back into ELO until the Flashback package came out in 2000 (then Zoom in 2001). It was during those times that I collected what fanzines I could off the web, but I eventually disposed of them about 10 years ago.
Just looking at some of the issue scans, there is many interesting articles in them.

But I kept Bev's autographed first book. Hopefully his second book sees the light of day soon.

I remember Serena from my old alt.music.elo days on Usenet in the mid-1990's & early-2000's.
