The 11 bulletins were sent out after issue 25 between 2001 and 2005,that was the last that I heard from the magazine so I guess it stopped around that time?

FTM evolved from what could be described as an amateurish attempt at a magazine in issue 1 to a sleek, glossy well put together fanzine in just a few years. It certainly kept me in the loop regarding all things ELO back in the late 80's before the advent of the internet came along.

OK - just some silly group at the time. My bad! I thought maybe it was something offensive, so thanks for clarifying.

I also came across some other ELO fanzines, anyone remember 'Starlight'? a Dutch fanzine also from the late 80s? I have about 7/8 of these mags...

Whatever happened to Andrew Whiteside? Some of his song reviews ... annoyed me.
Here's an example.
"It's the kind of act that's extremely hard to follow, and the (almost) title track Mission (A World Record) unfortunately doesn't. Gimmicky sound effects do not a good song make, and basically the song suffers from a glut of ideas. The 'mission' in question has absolutely nothing to do with Jeremy Irons and Robert de Niro, but is that of a group of (we presume) aliens (with thick Black Country accents), who come to Earth to find that things on the ground are not as idyllic as they appear from above ('The planet Earth from way up there is beautiful and blue/But when you touch down things that look different here'). Basically a good idea, but the pseudo-religious aspects of the song just emphasise the heavy-handedness of the music. The overwhelming mood is one of despair and pointlessness, from the 'mother of a baby' and the 'dirty worn-out sidewalk' to the alien who finds that his 'orders are to sit down and watch the world go by.' Such bleak vistas cannot spoil the ethereal beauty of the last chorus though, when Jeff and Kelly singing 'Watching all the days roll by/Who are you and who am I' manages to put all the hopelessness in perspective, as the music (and the side) reaches its pompous conclusion." Andrew Whiteside (1989 - Face The Music fanzine #6)

Haha, I've often thought about what happened to Andrew, maybe he's a member on here? At the end of the day, his review is one just person's opinion (that's why I loathe critics in general, why should 'their' opinion be above what you or I think?)

I managed over the years to get what I think was a near complete library of FTM and the later supplement sheets. Would love to see the whole one for the Orkestra. Sadly, after I scanned the magazines onto PDF, I sold the 'real' versions, only for my laptop to fail in April 19 so I lost the PDF copies here. Never mind I thought as I was clever enough to save onto an external hard-drive which promptly died a week later before I could transfer onto new laptop. I managed to recover about 40% of these through a recovery programme. I need FTM magazines 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19 (did they go higher than 23 if so I need 24 onwards) and all supplements except 23 & 24 (which i have). Would love to get the full set again. Could anyone help in scanning copies and emailing them over? I don’t know for sure but I think 25 was the last major issue after that it was possible just supplements (which I don’t have) maybe Timeblue can confirm that if he finds his copies. If your email address is the same as you signed up with I’ll scan the Orkestra supplement and email it to you tomorrow, I haven’t the time to scan all the magazines at the moment, sorry. many thanks for the Orkestra scan, duly received
