And if you want to know my WORST concert memory, it's U2 at Elland Road on their Joshua Tree tour. Not their fault but we were in front of the stage and everyone was jumping up and down, I think I caught about 5 minutes of them. The support were The Pretenders, The Mission and The Fall who were all quite good!

My favourite concert memory is going to be Jeff's first tour after all this virus mischief is over. They cancelled theatre in Shakespeare's day because of the plague but it didn't last forever.

Too many to choose from, but most recently, Birmingham 2016, as the intro faded and that dramatic single spotlight revealed Jeff at the mic and a 35 year wait finally ended.

I have three favourite memories. They all involve ELO, a fair amount of 'arm twisting' (and the correct application of thumb screws in one case). 1, Birmingham NEC 1981. There was about a foot and a half of snow and 130 odd miles between my house and seeing ELO live but i wasn't going to let that stop me. Thanks dad (for driving)...(after some arm twisting). 2, ELO Part 2 York 1994. I was always a bit of a purist and to perfectly honest, i turned my nose up when 'Part 2' arrived on the scene. tedblight (yes we've been mates that long), convinced me to go and 'at least enjoy the music'. Suffice to say the concert was brilliant, the audience were 'up for it' and the music never sounded better. Thanks Ted (for twisting my arm). 3, Hyde park 2014. I never even went but this makes it because....well....it has to! I remember Chris Evans twisting Jeffs arm as far up his back as it'd go to get him to tour again. When the night finally arrived, Jeff wasn't the only one who was nervous. I was almost watching from behind my sofa because i was so desperate for the gig to go well for Jeff and the band. Thanks Chris (for applying the thumb screws just tight enough so Jeff could still play guitar if he said "yes").

I think they opened with Daybreaker... we was the only two in the audience who knew the tune! 👍🏼
