Wembley... What a night that was! From the fans getting on the tube train in 'Jeff' wigs... The sight from Wembley Park tube station - that HUGE throng of people heading towards the stadium... The rainbow The mobile phone lights ALL across the stadium during Can't Get It Out Of My Head... The chap (who'd had a few ) nearby doing his best disco dancing One or two memories from the 24th of June 2017 We had the time of our life.

OMD last November is probably my all time fav gig due to me seeing them close up in the sound check, meeting Andy's sons band Mig15 and the actual concert itself. Runners up include David Bowie's Glass Spider tour at Roker Park in 1987 (Big Country were support and they were brilliant) Prefab Sprout in 1985 was my 1st live gig (I was a late starter...) and Heartbeat was good seeing a lot of global icons such as Robert Plant,Moody Blues,Denny Laine and of course George Harrison.

One thought that struck me that night was my memories of how back in the 90s and early 00s every one had forgotten ELO, apart from a loyal band of followers such as the fans on this forum. Now I looked around seeing thousands of people, of all ages, gathering to fill WEMBLEY stadium. I could never have dreamt of this happening 30 years ago. It was some night. Still can’t believe I forgot the rainbow

Sounds like a very emotional night Helmut83 you are very lucky to have seen them, a very good band. It’s great that the audience gave Roxette such a huge reception. It was, lasttrain929, the whole night was very emotional, but "Perfect day" was her moment (Gessle got down from the stage and left it all to her). Here it is, if you are interested. You can see the ovations towards the end of the video (though the final one lasted for about a whole minute and they cut the video): Taking my mom, huge Beatles fan since she was a young girl, to Paul was also very special because that's something we've always shared. We are the two big Beatles fans of the family, the others don't care that much. Then I completed my big 3 when I got the chance to see Jeff Lynne live. I was thinking it was going to be 2 out of 3, since it looked like Jeff was never going to play again, but then it happened. So I have to be thankful, in terms of live music shows I can't ask for much more.

You're not alone in missing musical heroes, lasttrain929. I was late in going to gigs. In 1983 Thin Lizzy, on their farewell tour, played Leisureland in Galway. I was in the Regional Tech at the time. A few of the guys on my course had tickets, and went. Going to concerts wasn't my 'thing' at the time. To be honest, I didn't think I could afford it. You can't imagine how much I wish I had gone. Dear old Phil left us in 1986 - way before his time. I never thought I'd get the chance to see the Old Banger himself. But... You never can tell

Never got to see Thin Lizzy either sadly. Would have loved to have seen David Bowie. I’m a Queen fan as well, had a great chance to seen them with Freddie Mercury back in 1984 but decided to go and see Stevie Wonder at RDS in Dublin. They were playing around the same time but I couldn’t afford to go to both. Stevie was amazing but I wish I could have seen both. My other regret is Robert Palmer I have everything by him sadly he passed away in 2003. Lastly OMD but I’m hoping to still get to see them.

one of my best was Take That when they first reformed without Robbie. I think it was the Beautiful World tour. It was the first time I'd seen them and I wasn't a fan but my Mrs is.It was a spectacular gig. The highlight being the use the coda from Mr Blue Sky as the intro to Shine.
