I'm heading down to North Carolina for a P. Hux concert tomorrow night. I was pleased to get an e-mail from the venue saying that all concert goers must wear masks and must show either a negative test result or proof of vaccination. The average age of P Hux fans will be just a little lower than the average age of ELO fans, so hopefully the crowd will see the wisdom in staying safe.

My daughter went on an Alaskan cruise. She and her friend got COVID 2 days in and had to stay in their room for the rest of the trip. Then they were supposed to take a bus to a quarantine hotel but there were too many sick people and the bus had to make multiple trips ( 6 hrs round trip to Anchorage).
They are feeling better but can’t wait to leave Alaska. 😩

They are feeling better but can’t wait to leave Alaska. 😩 I hope she recovers soon, gets to leave Alaska soon, and does not have to face Long Covid symptoms. We have a few family members in their 50s and 60s (outside my household) who have contracted the virus recently. One of them, like your daughter, came down with it while on a cruise. Fortunately, they are vaccinated and boosted, so their recovery is much smoother than it might otherwise be. We're still dodging 'rona in our house, but we all have to make sure that we stay careful if we want to stay healthy. It's tough sometimes.

Yes, adding my get well soon wishes too. Cruises seem to be the number one place to catch viruses, even before covid appeared  |

I was convinced that I had 'the dreaded' for the second time in six months but three tests in a row said otherwise. I actually have good old-fashioned bronchitis which is pretty energy sapping at the moment but I'm already feeling better day by day. It certainly has taught me two things: I'm irrationally paranoid that every ailment I have is Covid and, illnesses we have forgotten existed over the past couple of years are back in fashion!

Apparently it's quite hard to see them with the naked eye, you need to be looking through a camera or other type of lens?
