Arm is sore, otherwise we're just dandy! We mixed it up. J&J was our initial shot, Moderna, the booster. Sadly she had no stickers to give us.

I was listening to some podcasts done by virologists (very geeky). They seem to think that boosters aren't really needed for most people. The key is vaccinating a high % of people around the world. They believe that the vaccines will continue to offer good protection against severe illness for up to a decade before you need a booster.

There's a range of opinions of course. For flu vaccines, we get annual boosters. For tenanus, we only need a booster every ten years. Omicron has a lot of mutations so maybe that is a hint that Covid boosters will need to be more like flu shots than tetanus shots. But again, the virus docs were pretty confident that the Covid vaxes will keep working for a long time. Of course that was last week - before Omicron.

Nope, they said, not at all. Honestly, I was quite ashamed of my fellow injectees. Although, after waiting for an hour they were probably mind-numbed. Not me, I took along a trashy murder book to read and was quite hyped up

I also got boosted with a Moderna jab this morning.

And here's my reward. I could have had a 'Heroes' sweetie too, but didn't want to be greedy.

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned to my boss that I'd had my flu jab and felt like a pincushion. He replied that he'd had his flu shot, his booster, and a blood test in the same week:
"so I win!"
I agreed, and hailed him as "the Wincushion".
