If you had doubts about cleaning the fruit with sanitizer when you come back from the super, you'll probably not have them any longer after watching (I almost spelled "washing", probably a Freudian slip) this video:

A friend sent me this tonight. These are all genuine book titles. Try reading them from left to right.

8 more deaths since the article was published 4 days ago ... still tiny when compared to some other countries 9 deaths is not a lot, I agree; but one thing is 1 death, a very different one is 9. And I have my doubt the 8 deaths of difference happened in these 3 or 4 days, my guess is they were lying when they wrote it; otherwise the curve is going savagely upwards for NZ and they have nothing to celebrate. Either they were lying or they were terribly wrong. Also, you have to do the math over a population of 4+ million people. As you can see on the map, the percentage of infected people in New Zealand ranks high in the world. And the article irresponsibly proclaims "the country's triumph over the pandemic" half way through it. That's pure political propaganda, dillwyn.

I am interested in the approach ....https://www.health.govt.nz/news-media/media-releases/second-death-linked-covid-19-44-new-cases..2 death on 10th 4 days ago .... several of the subsequent ones are in one old peoples home ... it is interesting because unless a vaccine is developed we will all get it at some point... this is how the demand curve for health support is flattened and more importantly what techniques each country is using.. presumably the second and third waves of this will be lessoned in the warmer months but the uk currently looking very worrying. Early on UK govt decided to allow mass get togethers at Cheltenham races, liverpool champions league game (with a spanish team(ahead in the infection rate)), stereophonics major gigs and lot and lots of people coming from italian cruises (ahead in the infection rate) straight into the community without any attempt to quarantine .. their approach to 'herd immunity' was quickly kicked into touch but not early enough and they then tried changing the 'propoganda' to point at people not going through self isolation. The big news currently is the impact on health professionals/care homes professionals without effective PPE, sickeningly this morning the uk govt did not know how many health professionals had died. ... that maybe a left wing view, doesn't make it wrong

It was a way of exorcising the fear.
I changed it anyway.

For a start I wouldn't dare arguing much with a Brit about the UK situation because you are surely better informed than I am (besides living there), and things are clearly going wrong in your country so something has to have been done wrong. Going back to New Zealand, which was the subject of our discussion, what I'm saying is that stats show a reality there that is very far from the wonderful situation depicted by that article. You might have whatever view you want, but proclaiming that New Zealand has triumphed over the pandemic, at this early point and when stats don't back that claim at all, is downright crazy and not in touch with reality.

This was coming. Wales has been all sheep, sheep and sheep for centuries. You could tell that there would come a time when goats, the eternal neglected, would no longer take so much relegation and revolt. "And we won't stop until the official taunting for Welsh people is 'goatshaggers'!" bleated the leader. ...sorry, you have to understand it's day #26 of quarantine in Argieland.

I love the internet ... from debating American news articles about a new zealand political/health policy about a global pandemic with a chap in Argentina to welsh sheep shagging within 2 responses
