Yeah, I know. You've got to be a dick to get annoyed at some foreign person's pronunciation. I'm just warning the guys that they'll have to be patient both when speaking and when listening. So where do you like better living? Your hometown in Australia or whereveryou are now in the UK? Both have pros and cons. I prefer Australia for the lifestyle and weather. The UK has good points as I like history, the arts, theatre, concerts, countryside and there's plenty of that here, plus its cheap and easy to get to Europe. I probably have another few years left here before I go back. |

Well, of course I applaud your extremely generous room rates for your parents, Helmut83, they obviously brought you up in the right way. But I'm also impressed at Horacewimp's sneaky idea to inflate the prices before offering the discount, do you work for DFS or something Horacewimp? Ah yes, my legendary Poker Face....often worn when asked awkward questions such as "which of you two ninja groupies is Jeff's favourite?" or "whose idea was it to eat that whole packet of jaffa cakes?" A most useful gift, I must say  |

I gave up Welsh and went onto Russian which is surprisingly a lot easier. Hey, good for you learning Russian. I've been trying to for the last few years but have yet to go beyond the alphabet and the words for "chair" and "table"!
I agree that Russian can seem easier than other languages - I've tried a few and it's my favourite to persevere with  . |

I agree that
can seem easier than other languages - I've tried a few and it's my favourite to persevere with . The hardest thing I have found learning this or any language is having someone to converse with to practise. You can only learn so much from a book or recording, but keep it up as its an interesting language and worth it. |
