Southernman, your point makes much more sense now, but it was impossible to get it by the comment you made in first hand and without the further explanations you gave afterwards. Yes, those songs weren't fully representative of the rest of the work Jeff was doing at those times. I don't know on this forum because it is quite new, but on the old one HOT and RRIK always received a despisive treatment from most of the users, as giving for granted that they were cheap musical garbage.
Ah, I understand.
Whilst it's true those are among my least favourite of Jeff's songs, I can't say I actually despise them, or that I would judge anyone else for liking them. Hell, Jeff himself obviously still rates RNRIK, as he picked it out for the Hyde Park show. So what do I (or any of those other harsher critics) know?

Gotta agree I have a personal dislike for the "line dancing, rockabilly ducet sounds" of rnrik, hot....it was the only confusing, down time of the Hyde gig for me. But they were crowd pleasers so from a marketing point it made good sense. As a seasoned Lynne/E.L.O veteran I am now dodging such tracks and hits in favour of B sides/ Rare material and now enjoy working his gems out on piano and guitar to discover his chord progressions so forth. I would love to hear Jeff return to his 70's sound and layering with the maturity of his writing of later years on new original material. I would love to experience the edge and fearlessness of the first 4 albums created with the masters hand. Stuff like for instance. ...Blue bird is dead/ dreaming of 4000/ Lornado Tornado and so.....

Hey guys, Why don't we talk about defending Another Fart Breaks instead? surely that song has potential to someone else! I won't do that, but will defend "Another Heart Breaks". While it's true that "When Time Stood Still" is the superior song, the former was definitely good enough to be on Time, IMO. I'll go as far as being a heretic (again) and say that "21st Century Man" should have been a b-side. You've complained of sugary sounding tracks before; very few sound as saccharine as that one. Objection..! Even if 21st Century Man is too sweet for you, without its inclusion on Time, Jason Lytle would never have written the gloriousness that is this:
