You may have noticed these dates overlap with Take That's European tour dates. Could Jeff be getting a new band?
I imagine people are lining up to play behind Jeff at this point. And if he's going to have - dare I say it? - an all new show, an all new band wouldn't be as much of a problem. The musicians would have to learn the music regardless of who they were. 🤔
Oh, I'm already fantasizing about the Time album performed in its entirety, including "The Bouncer," "Julie Don't Live Here," and "When Time Stood Still."

maybe Take that are changing their band, I'd be surprised if Jeff would want to change the band which he is clearly happy with?

I'm posting the web page where I obtained the announcement since I can't find it on Live Nation. I've been around places like this Florida radio station, and it's completely conceivable to me that one of the employees totally missed the big red letters on the Live Nation email "DO NOT POST UNTIL OCT 23." www.sunny1079.com/event/see-jeff-lynnes-elo-live-at-the-bbt-center/

Yay, they are doing Philly! I was a little worried about the trip to either DC or NYC, possibly by myself. This is good news.

DC is closer, but Atlanta will probably be the best option for me, given the dates. I need to confirm a few details first. SO EXCITING!!!

I'm seeing them June 1st, maybe Mike Stevens and the band will play the UK leg of the tour, and another band will take over for the European Leg, fingers crossed.

Does a June 20 tour start leave enough time to finish up half an album's worth of songs? Jeff's been known to work very quickly. In the old days it took months for the record label to do their thing. Guess that's a lot faster in the digital age. And then, the band has to learn some new material. Which band, which songs? Richard or no Richard?
WIWAB was the only track from the last album. Realistically, Jeff has to be satisfied with a new tune and teach it to the band. We're probably only going to get one track off the new album. And the set list might not change up as much as we like to imagine.
A lot of the venues are easy enough for me to get to. Choosing which one may come down to which date is most convenient. DC is on a Thursday - but I'd gladly take Friday off. My wife and I have wanted to visit Vancouver. It is nice to have options!

I was hoping for a weekend night, too, for DC so it would not interfere with my summer job, but Atlanta is definitely a safe bet! Since I'm the trainer/leader of the small team I'll be working with, I really can't miss a day of work. I looked over four years of summer work schedules for my project and the time around July 4th is always free. Since we have friends and family in ATL, we might make a holiday weekend family trip out of it, too! Meanwhile, I've got just a few days to convince my husband to come to the show with me. "Pretty please? It will be so much fun!!" I need to go buy some apple pies this afternoon!
