we went for a hike today on Sugarloaf Mountain (more of a big hill) and then into Frederick, Maryland for dinner and window shopping I couldn't resist stepping into the vintage record shop. and found a gem from my high school days this was playing on American radio at about the same time as Discovery

Got to admit, I know little about them. Do I hear a little Jethro Tull in those tunes? maybe but they sound good!

The Jethro Tull comparison has been mentioned before... the flute isn't that common in pop music. In the 70s it was fashionable for traditional musicians to adapt the popular tunes of the day. Or, in this case, a pop classic... The Beatles were very popular among traditional musicians. I wonder what George would have thought about this? Or, Paul, about this? And then, of course, we can't forget this

Jon Batiste (also Stephen Colbert show's house band) has a new album coming out. The first track that I've heard is quite fun. Not sure what genre it fits in but who cares.
