So you think "Fire On High" will get a well deserved outing, back to Tightrope, stick with "Concerto" or something new/else?

Prologue going into Twilight would be great.

Fire On High... I'm not sure if many of you might agree, but Phil Bates and the rest of the gang in Part II / The Orchestra did this rather well. The acoustic guitar was placed on a stand allowing him to easily switch from electric to acoustic. In the 'good ole days' I wonder if Jeff did that? He certainly didn't in the 1976 San Francisco live recording. Yes - 'Fire' gets a thumbs up from me

I think I would prefer "Tightrope," so it's different from the previous tour, but they can't go wrong with Concerto, especially if they play all the songs (which I know will never happen, alas!)

C'mon Jeff, read the damn forum and see what us fans want to hear! Give Jeff some credit Timeblue he has now done a few tracks for the true fan that I never thought he would: Standin' In The Rain and Prologue/Twilight and both really blew my socks off! I thought Standin In The Rain was such an incredible and ballsy opener. So proud of Jeff and company for doing it and for celebrating what ELO really was... so much more than just top 40 pop songs! they can't go wrong with Concerto, especially if they play all the songs (which I know will never happen, alas!) I think he could do the entire Concerto eloneen !!! He's mentioned that he might and he's already performed 2 out of 4 tracks live!! I've said it before, I think my head would actually explode if this happened. I'm going to be above you at the Philly show so watch out for falling brain matter if he opens with Standin' In The Rain. So you think "Fire On High" will get a well deserved outing Fire On High would be fantastic to see live... definitely on this list of most desired by the true fan I bet.

Taking myself back to the O2 in April last year, the band opened with Tightrope. THAT was a nice surprise! But, not as surprising as Secret Messages later on in the set.
I think we can leave it to Jeff, Mike and and rest of the gang to add a few unexpected treats to the set. I mean, who'd've thought that he'd feature Twilight instead of Hold On Tight in 'Bust'?
I'm surprised that no one has dared to suggest Beatles Forever, Mandalay or Hello My Old Friend...

Whatever people may think of Phil Bates these days, Fire On High was a revelation when it was introduced into the Part II set and he nailed the original guitar lines perfectly. When Parthenon Huxley replaced him and took the guitar parts....it was rubbish!
After Tightrope and Standin', I'd love to see Fire On High open next year's set.

Well, he used to open the Out of the Blue Tour concerts with Standing in the Rain, so it's not like it's an innovation on his part (though it's true that it came as a bit of a surprise when he decided to include it on this set of concerts).

That's a fact I didn't know Helmut83. It only makes me love that he opened his recent shoes with it even more. For me I don't think anything could beat it as an opener. It's so dramatic!!! When I said it was ballsy I meant that it shows a lot of confidence to open a greatest hits show with a long, orchestral album cut.

Make way for the paramedics trying to revive me if they perform "Big Wheels!" Yes, that would be fantastic! Jeff could give you mouth to mouth resuscitation? But you're not into him that way... we'll call the paramedics for you!
