Queen, I'm not sure about it being better than tracks with a budget of millions, but in any case we had a lot of fun doing it and judged it good enough to share it with you guys, so thanks for the support; I'm glad you enjoyed it and gave that detailed review.

The Street Next Door - Instant llama


After an incursion in disco music that resulted in the rage of their fans and fans of disco music alike, the Italowelshoargentine band Street Next Door is back in the more familiar grounds of straightforward pop with their new release "Instant Llama", inspired by their different encounters with South American camelids over the years.

This new song features the novelty of the debut of longtime keyboardist Buttler in electric guitar, something which only came after heavy insistence from some heavy band members. Now the band has 2 guitarists, 2 singers, 3 keyboardists, 0 bassists and 0 drumers: a fine balance.

In regards to the videoclip of the song, the ever-increasing budget of the Street Next Door allowed for the hire of a much more professional video editor this time: Elophile, also known as the Queen of Gifs. Our thanks to her for her key participation in the making of the videoclip.

Congratulations 'The Street Next Door' band! Upbeat and fresh is 'Instant Llama' (love the name). It leaps out, it's a catchy party song. Everyone's natural gifts at their finest. Thumbs up for the piano and guitars. Perfect length.

elophile clever video full of the forums beautiful diva mascot (Are they? Well, I think Llama's should be.) had me laughing. The video fit well with the song, too

Well, yesterday we were making calculations with Vlog... we released "Inacwg" in 2015, "Out like a light" in 2016 and now "Instant llama" in 2017... that's one song per year. Given that an album would take more or less 10 songs, and provided we don't take any sabbatical year, we might be releasing our album in 2024, so go saving money.

"Ear worm", that's a nice praise, Horace, thanks. It´s kind of what you are looking for when you do a pop song. Same as with what you said BSJ about it being a "catchy party song". And yes, llamas are undoubtedly the unofficial forum mascot. 

And thanks for you too, jiminyjellysolo , glad you are enjoying the song and it conveyed you a happy feeling because that's what it was intended to do. And thanks also for what you say about my voice, wow, that's a first, I feel flattered!

Ahh, thank you both, queenofthehours and Horacewimp . Horace, you charmer, with your Instant Llama Karma. 

And, Queen, the "star of the trek" bit just had to follow the "fine front ears"! You know, as in "Space, the final frontier..."

Yes, yes, YES!!! What a total triumph of a song, not only is it madly catchy with a sparkling video but the lyrics are simply genius. Every time I listen to it there's more to find and everything I find is clever and brilliantly constructed, bravo Street Next Door! For instance I was feeling smug about spotting the "Star of the Trek" line and admiring the Fine Front (facing) Ears of the video Llamas but all the while the true meaning of the Front Ears was escaping me. This just makes me want to study it further, which will be no chore at all.

Great to hear Helmut83 giving his voice an airing, it really adds to the atmosphere as a manly counterpoint to vlogdance's smooth and ladylike tones. Can we expect Buttler to get behind the mic next time as well as coming up with the musical magic? I forsee this being the hit of the summer and Elophile being the most in-demand video producer, and quite right too.

OK, let's see what happens in Reddit! Not knowing us (and not knowing the level of amauterism with which we do this), surely people might not feel the need to be polite and might punish us hard without contemplations, but I don't mind, I'm curious as to what they might say -if anyone comments-.

^ This! I cannot like the idea enough! It might probably take some rowdy fans demanding it, but I'm all in to see if we can convince our star keyboardist/guitarist to at least give voice to a couple of lines on the next song.

Wow, how nice are those words! You are right, music unites and is a universal language... now, don't mention "Turn to Stone" or the band might split apart in seconds.
