ive seen them at 'wemberlee' supporting rod the mod and a few other acts gigs like the nelson mandela gigs etc ...stadium gigs are always disappointing in my experience. however I suspect I may well be forced by blind devotion imagine the line-up ....

As it coincides with the 40th anniversary of Out of the Blue I wonder if Jeff will bring back the space ship?

...and play Summer and Lightning.
One thing I'll be expecting from a gig at Wembley is it to be longer that what Jeff has been playing this year on stadiums. If that was approximately 1:45 hours, then the Wembley concert should be 2:00 at the very least (ideally 2:15-2:30), which would mean several more songs included in the setlist.

Wembley is a horrible venue for live music. It would take a really decent support line up or confimation of a radically different setlist for me to go I think.
By the way, it looks like Roy Wood is touring later this year. I happened to find him playing a local venue in Westcliff in October later in the year with tickets already onsale! Couldn't see any info on his website this morning. Got a couple of circle front row seats.

I've been trying to join the Showdown list for years! It's been very frustrating to deal with.

I've been trying to join the Showdown list for years! Even with help from friends. I don't think she's taking new members unless some criteria. Eye Roll inserted here. Has been met. It's been very frustrating to deal with. Feel like I was toyed with, more than once over the last several years. Even just this last year after the Kimmel Show. Just cruel. And since I already have my tickets for every night at HollyWood Bowl I finally feel free to say something about Showdown! Don't get me started about the Showdown list, it does seem an exclusive club I was once a member of, I was thrown out for doing a dirty deed (running a forum helping ELO fans). I've said to much already I better keep quiet

Forget about the Showdown list, we are lucky to have Horace Wimp's forum where ELO fans are respected and admitted with no restrictions.

In this era of social media it is very odd that an email based list is still the official method for distributing information to the select list of fans. I'm sure it is still run well and has the best intentions but you only have to read on many of the ELO Facebook groups that people have no clue it exists and during times when codes and links to fan ticket sales are to be distributed I think this is poor and unfair to the fans.

I'm taking my chance with a resale closer to the date. Having just forked out for Manchester, the piggy bank is empty !

I've said to much already I better keep quiet I feel you, brother. I was a member when I ran ELO Forever, but then "Der Fuhrer" kicked me out for sharing news and info that she deemed exclusive to her mailing list. She really is a power hungry, sad little person. Back on topic, the stadium show is a huge deal. Just not sure it's Jeff's element. Let's face it, he's not Mick Jagger, Freddie Mercury , Bruce Springsteen, or Bono. Those guys could take a crowd of that size and own them for 2 plus hours. Jeff, as much of a musical genius as he is, just isn't a dynamic frontman.

Totally agreed what you said in your last paragraph, Chippa, but on the other hand people already know Jeff, they know what they'll be getting in exchange for buying the ticket and that does not include running, screaming, jumping or being a showman. And as long as the public is not expecting that, you can pull off a good performance in a stadium without being a dynamic frontman. He has done it before, and he wasn't very dynamic back then either.
