Brax said: "I love the reviews, everybody! unomusette , yes Clapton did cover I Ain't Gonna Stand For It, on his 2001 album Reptile."
Although, Uno might be thinking of the Eric Clapton song "I Can't Stand It", which was on "Another Ticket:, which came out around the same time as "Hotter Than July", 1981. Then Clapton also had "Ain't Goin' Down" from 1983's album called "Money and Cigarettes".
So maybe she was thinking of those, and maybe it's just by coincidence that he covered the Stevie Wonder song on "Reptile".
I say this, because I had a passing thought about doesn't Clapton do a song like this too, when I heard the Stevie Wonder song.

I was definitely thinking of the Stevie Wonder song, I can remember hearing it on the radio and recalled it being introduced as being by Clapton. I'm not a massive fan of Eric's so I don't know his work very well apart from the singles which have airplay.
What's he playing at anyway, bringing out two songs with similar titles? I feel a spanking coming on....

Superstition – One of the best songs ever, never mind of Stevie's. One of those tracks you wish could go on forever and never get tired of no manter how many times you put it on repeat.
I Just Called To Say I Love You – A perennial evergreen track. It’s not even worth saying I like this because liking this is so little compared to how classic this is. This always seems to be sung by hotel entertainers and even they cannot spoil it.
Sir Duke – Hey, all these are classics! I can’t decide which I love best. Who can't be happy hearing this song?
For Once In My Life – Another top song! My favourite so far of Stevie? I don’t know it's so hard that even the ones by him that I don’t like so much I end up liking later. I’m glad these are only a selection and not an entire album in themselves because the LP would be TOO good. No album on earth is 100% but all these songs together so far are so good if this were an album it is definitely 100% so far.
Higher Ground –Love the 70s sounds here, it’s so Stevie. I’m going to have a disco party one day and only have Stevie tracks
Master Blaster – So many Stevie tracks I’d forgotten he did! This is a great selection, not a bad track so far – it’s too good, life shouldn’t be this much fun!
Isn't She Lovely – One word: classic. Any more would be redundant.
I Wish – One I’m least familiar with but sounds exactly like a Stevie song.
Ain't Gonna Stand For It – I didn’t recognise the title but I know the song, I'm thinking this is my favourite now!
I Was Made To Love Her – Steve has a great voice.
Life would be so dull without a shot of Stevie Wonder now and again. Thank you @brax for one of the most enjoyable "of the Weeks" I've heard.
