Oooo... eloneen ...
Does the station have a website? Maybe we can listen in...
Here it is. www.wunc.org/ It's a great station -- mostly news and discussion, interviews, etc., during the weekdays. Although it's a great station, you'd have to listen quite a while to catch FoH. Why not just play the song yourself?

There’s something to be said for the radio putting on a good song though isn’t there? At least for me, I know full well I could put on any song I wanted any time I wanted, but it’s always so much more satisfying to catch a good song on the radio! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Casey Kasem's American Top 40: The 80's from September 19th, 1981, was on, "You know albums get their titles in a lot of different ways, usually they're named for the act itself, or for a song on the LP, or, after the LP's concept or theme, but when the British rock group ELO made their American album debut 9 years ago, their LP got its name because a telephone rang, and nobody answered, ELO drummer Bev Bevan told us the story, the band then called Electric Light Orchestra had released their first album in England and the American release was scheduled next, Bevan said, "The album was just called The Electric Light Orchestra which makes sense because it's a debut album, and when it was going to be released in America with United Artists, someone there said, check in London with this new group The Electric Light Orchestra on what the title of the album is, and somebody called our office, and there was no reply on the telephone, so, the American who made the call, wrote on a pad to their boss, regarding your query as to what The Electric Light Orchestra's 1st album title is, No Answer, and people figured, that was the name of the album, and it was released as, No Answer", and that's how ELO's debut album got its title, now, here's ELO, 10 albums later, with their latest hit, up 2 notches this week to #12, Hold On Tight..." The previous year, David Bowie had released his "Ashes to Ashes" music video which was considered as the most innovative to date at that time. But Electric Light Orchestra were largely regarded to have surpassed that with their music video for "Hold On Tight". At the time it was the most expensive ever made at around £40,000 - Source: UK Midlands Central TV News, August, 1981, thanks Ade! After hearing "Hold On Tight" on Casey Kasem's American Top 40 Mighty 690 AM Radio Show back in 1981 while with family around Ventura, California, a U.S. Route 101 road trip to Santa Barbara's Mission when I was just 8 years old, Dad then bought me my very first Electric Light Orchestra album from Tower Records, an audio cassette of Time by ELO, thus started the fandom 38 years ago!

This may not count since it's my doing... but I will share anyway! I am a support service professional for young adults with special needs. I have different goals to work on with each of them, but for my one client, I am supposed to work on her daily living skills, along with a few other things. This includes stuff like doing household chores, so sometimes I have her help me with the dishes or fold clothes, etc. Anyway, she loves music, so I usually put my ELO playlist on shuffle and play that while we work. She seems to love it all, but has taken a particular fondness to "So Serious." She sings it everywhere we go: on walks, in the grocery store, to tea with my family (one of her other goals is socializing)... I get a real kick out of it, but hopefully it's not driving her family nuts at home!

I bought something from ebay that wasn't remotely ELO-ish and the seller's pay pal name that came up on my bank statement is the same as the happiest song according to science!

I forgot to mention hearing 'Livin' Thing' at the end of a TV programme about the Isle of Man TT races a couple of months ago. It was very unexpected and proof that ELO is perfect for any situation or sport.

UK forumheads - if you turn on Radio 2 for Pick Of The Pops tomorrow, we should be in for some ELO. Just found this on the BBC website: The ELO hit in the UK charts this week in 1979 was Don't Bring Me Down.
