Moment in Paradise for me. Ah, the memories this song brings back. When this song came out, in 2001, we learned about Jeff's latest love, Rosie Vela. On the message board, there were 3 different reactions to this woman being in Jeff's life. The men either thought she was beautiful, OR they didn't seem to care one way or the other. The women however, HATED her. Please understand, we women agreed on NOTHING when it came to Jeff or ELO. Not favorite band member, not favorite song or album but, we were all united in our dislike of Rosie. One woman demanded to know how old she was and said that she wouldn't let her kids watch the Zoom video because Jeff was dating a MUCH younger woman, like, 20, or 30 years younger. When someone told her that Rosie wasn't that much younger than Jeff, less than a 10 year difference, the ELO fan was glad to hear it but still not letting her kids watch that video. LOL...Ah, what fun we had. It was the only time in the history of the ELO/Jeff Lynne message board that the women all agreed on something. I remember those early message board days. Fun stuff.

Moment in Paradise for me. Ah, the memories this song brings back. Do you have in mind we are voting for the worst song here, Eloise? No, Helmut83, we are not. We are voting for the song that is good but not quite as good as the others, as Horacewimp keeps forgetting. GRRR!! Zoom was a really good album, there is not one song on it that I skip. And, bad songs can bring back good memories, by the way. But, that is not the case here. I vote for it because it was written for Rosie and it's one that I listen to least. Plus, Jeff's voice at the end, the next to the last time he sings, "Moment in Paradise" sounds wrong. I think he had trouble hitting the high note there and I have always marveled that he heard that and left it in, since he's supposed to be a perfectionist. That line is garbage.

Doesn't have a great song but almost all are good. I rate "Ordinary Dream" 10/10, on par with his best classics in my point of view. "Easy Money" rates as great (maybe 9/10) for me too. On the others I agree that most of them are good. I wish to be associated with this message. Ordinary Dream is one of Jeff's finest

There was a lot of excitement surrounding Zoom, considering the release of Flashback six months earlier.
In the meantime, I have purchased excellent condition copies of Flashback and Afterglow at reasonable prices and that basically completes my ELO canon.
