He's not smiling on any photos from last night and he does look quite frail

I am genuinely surprised that he showed up. What a delight to see him! Sometimes, it is pure joy to be wrong. LOL... I was certain that he was not going to be there. He looks like he's lost weight and he seemed to be holding tight to Camilia's hand, which had me concerned about his stability, but his voice as he was speaking sounded strong and, he sang! I hope you're right, Timeblue, about having many more years to come.

Disagree with most of the comments on here about Jeff looking frail. He looks in fine fettle to me. He’s 75 for God’s sake!! Wish I looked as good as him now and I’m 59!!!
There’s one shot from a side view where he looks a bit like shit. Christ knows we’ve all had a photo shot like that!!
Then!! Gets up and does Mr Blue Sky.
Frail my @rse.

There are many artists out there of a similar vintage or older who are still rocking. Take dear old Elton Hercules John for example. He shuffles a little uncomfortably on stage but if you watch his show at Glastonbury this weekend and if it's anything like the concert of his I saw in March, he'll be fantastic. What's the point of retirement if you can still deliver on a stage and people take so much joy from your doing so?

Thank you blueskythinker and soonerorlater for your comments. You've helped me see Jeff in a more positive light.

I'm glad he still has this beautiful lady by his side. They are a sweet couple.

I'm just happy Jeff is still among us and seemingly happy and healthy. Anything else is really just a bonus.

Has the audio for MBS and DBMD (played by Joe Walsh) made its way onto the internet? Can't find those tracks yet.
Photos, yes. Audio, no.

The Guitar Player article referencing the Songwriters Hall of Fame event was pretty good for the most part. Still looking to hear Joe Walsh's version of Don't Bring Me Down. If this was as hot as described, I wish Jeff would have had Joe come on stage during a JLELO show over the past few years to join the band. Joe's comments are appreciated, but these caught my attention: “The first time the world heard Jeff’s band Electric Light Orchestra, heads exploded,” Walsh said during his speech. “Nobody had heard anything quite like ELO. Who were these guys? How many were there? There had to be at least 30. Nope, pretty much one guy. One guy? That's a slap in the face to the other Core Three, Mack, the orchestras used over the years, and other musicians that played on ELO records. I understand that Joe and Jeff are buds and Joe will repeat a version of Jeff's preferred pronoun - "I". Too bad that Walsh couldn't be more specific and accurate. Maybe Walsh should sit down with Bevan, Tandy, Mack, and other living members of the original ELO. Listening to any ELO album was not one guy playing everything.

Hey Joe, Were the Eagles pretty much one guy, nope? That's what I thought. Just say no to NOrchestra! www.guitarplayer.com/news/2023-Songwriters-Hall-of-Fame

He may have played it all on the Mr Blue Sky compilation from 2012 (and spoiled many of the originals in doing so) but ELO was a group effort. Remember Joe, there is no 'I' in team.....
