I watched several of these and it made me wish to hear Battle of Marston Moor. Or whatever the heck it is called. The worst ELO song. Ever. No no no, you have to sink a few pints or shorts first (or both) to appreciate the intricate chords and lyrics of this classic. It's a work in progress..... I would not object to JL taking a whack at rewriting that song.

I thought that was a co - write between Jeff and Roy - so Jeff can rewrite his portion of the song. Or better yet, why don't Jeff and Roy sit down together and re-write it? They aren't getting any younger.

The 'fans' requested it because it's the worst track on the album and they wanted to see his reaction....

I'm sorry if there's someone in the forum who makes reaction videos, but let me say that I'm very tired of them. I'm tired to see people reacting at songs that they know for sure. Come on! Don't you tell me you never heard that song before!! It's really boring and a "no-sense" thing for me... People reacting to the most recognized ELO songs? Now? In 2020, 2021 or 2022??? Really? It's a bad joke for me. And I personally don't believe they're genuine reactions.

I feel the same if it's a hit song, but if the person is listening to an album track then more than likely they are hearing it for the first time.

I feel the same if it's a hit song, but if the person is listening to an album track then more than likely they are hearing it for the first time. I can believe that there are many people who don't know these songs. The world of popular music is vast, and there's been a lot of time for more music to be created across all genres since ELO's heyday. There are many people, especially younger folks, who like and listen to music that has nothing to do with our tastes on this forum. Just like I know nothing about much of the music that younger people listen to and enjoy these days, even though it's played on the radio all the time, because those are not stations I listen to, and not artists that I follow. It's very easy to find your niche on commercial radio and other media outlets, and even have your specific current tastes catered to through AI on Youtube, etc. I could probably do reaction videos for months and months on end for songs (even hits) from the 1990s onward that I've never heard or paid much attention to. And I might actually discover something (new to me ) that I like.

Having said that, a lot of pop music today is boring and unimaginative. That's why its nice when I find a gem like Levitating by Dua Lipa, which is one of the catchiest songs I've come across in the past couple of years.

Wow, I wasn't aware of that. Honestly, though, the song they're claiming Levitating "borrowed" from only has the slightest similarity at the beginning.

Everybody copies. Led Zeppelin would have 80% less songs if it wasn't for copying.
