Welcome, all forumheads, to the ELO Christmas Challenge 2017.
Here are five rounds of ELO-themed puzzles for you to solve.
One point per correct answer, a maxiumum of 40 points available. Send me your answers via Secret Message by December 18th.
Then I'll count up everyone's score, announce the winner, and reigning champion Horace will award gold, silver and bronze medals to the winner, runner-up and second runner-up, like last year.
No hints will be given, and no bribes will be accepted (well, not unless they're REALLY good ones). Good luck, everyone.

Telephone Line, Livin’ Thing, Hold On Tight, or Jungle?
c) Jeff once decided ELO should include a medley of cover versions in their live set.

One band member offered this list of songs:
Blueberry Hill – Fats Domino
Vinyl – William Michael Morgan
Ol’ Man River – Paul Robeson
In The Navy – Village People
Jeff laughed so much at this, he couldn’t speak at first.
But when he recovered, true to his word, he bought the winner a drink.
Which band member was the winner?
d) Over the years, several ELO songs have been used as background music in stage plays.
On Golden Pond featured Caught In A Trap
The Iron Lady featured The Way Life’s Meant To Be

Richard Tandy played the saxophone
Name the instrument that Bob Dylan played?
g) After the success of his latest album, Jeff agreed to play at Wembley Stadium this year.
During the soundcheck, he sent regular texts to his manager.
Jeff’s “secret messages” included:
“Dressing rooms are great”
“Richard’s absent, I’m nervous”
“Lighting is flattering everyone!”
Jeff sent one more “secret message” later that evening. Which one of these texts did he send?
“Everybody smiles at me”
“Best opening number ever”
“Me biggest selfie!”
“Wembley is my patch”
“Alright, it’s thumbs up”
h) Every time he released a new album, Jeff kept copies of the reviews.
The critics wrote of one album that it was “feverish, evergreen, and supersonic”.
Of another album, they sneered that it was “frivolous, distorted, and tepid”.
But of a third album, they said it was “witty, amusing, and addictive”.
Can you name the three albums in question?
That's it, you've reached the end of the Challenge 2017.
