@secretmessenger I was on the floor about midway back as well! I was on the right side! BSJ I’ve got a ton of them, so I may have to wait until I’m on my computer again, but I’m more than happy to share them! it’s worth noting that you can’t really see Jeff and them all that clearly in my pics and vids, but you can see all the visuals really well

Another superb show from the band last night in Manchester (poignantly, the M.E.N. arena where Ariana Grande played last year) Jeff sounded good and the crowd were on their feet after only a couple of songs. If I had a criticism it would be that they still did the same songs as last year with nothing new to get excited about. They only played 1 1/2 hours too which is a little shorter than I expected,it's not like he's jumping around the stage or anything! Highlights include opening with 'Concerto For A Rainy Day' and 'Livin Thing' but I didn't like the honky tonk piano in 'Don't Bring Me Down' and I still don't like Roll Over Beethoven and never will. All in all a great show but PLEASE vary the song list a little more!
ps. Still no Richard.
pps. Has anyone noticed that although every bit of merch theses days has 'Jeff Lynne's ELO' on it, the stage backdrop of the hovering spaceship (used while there was an interlude) only had 'ELO' on it?

Just to add, Billy Lockett was good too! I must admit that I had no idea who he was before the gig but he sang well, came across very humble as to where he was and got a great reception at the end! He reminded me a little of Coldplay in the late noughties period.

I agree with Timeblue, ROB is kind of over-rated. It is expected that it will close any of Jeff's concerts but he doesn't have to stick to that - it would be a nice surprise to have it open a show for a change, maybe without such an extended outro. Then they could work on another song and make that a bit longer for the closing spot

I loved ROB as the finale, but it also would have been nice as an opener. It's their signature finale and everyone expects it now, though! I think people might mind that less if the rest of the set list changed up significantly sometimes. Any UK meetups planned? Birmingham, Liverpool or London, for example?

I like ROB as a finale but I don't like it as a song anywhere else other than as a finale.
If I hear an ELO song promised on the radio, the only track which would disappoint me is ROB. I don't know why. Maybe because it's an old song for ELO or because it's not written by Jeff.
