This afternoon on Johnny Walker's Sounds of the Seventies, his guest, the impressionist Jon Culshaw, recalled how he and his mates used to headbang to Violinski's Clog Dance.

On a repeat of The Chase tonight there was a question about who co-produced Live Aid and one of the options was Don Arden(!) Probably good job he didn't or Geldof would still be looking for the money.

Sainsbury's last week: I was looking at savoury snacks when I heard a man go past pushing his trolley out ahead of him singing "see my baby drive".

Just caught a video of Doctor and the Medics from '86 (who had a number 1 that year with Spirit in the Sky) covering Abba's Waterloo and up pops Woody playing sax. He also appeared with them on Chegger's Plays Pop so I wonder if he may have produced it too, as it does sound more than a bit Wizzardy?

I once bought Dr and the Medics a pint at the bar in Butlins Skegness. One pint between the lot of them, Horacewimp? Your good heart will be the ruin of you. It was just the tall guy with big hair, he was living off his past glories doing an 80s weekend.

On Pointless tonight were questions about Radio 1. Of course the first clue was 'Birmingham band who were the first to be played' , to which one of the contestants guessed that well known bunch of Brummies..............The Kinks!
