We used to go on holiday with sister in law and partner,he hated flying too and drank copious amounts of lager to fight his demons. I have a pic of him somewhere of him on a plane literally digging his nails into the armrests to allay his fears. I feel for you Jack.... Xanax could fix that! Are you some kind of rep? lol

If Jeff does do a US tour (which I hope he does) what size venues do you think would be best for him. Is there a massive pent up demand for a stadium tour or would a selection of smaller venues be better? I think a series of well-chosen medium-sized venues in different locations around the country would fill up and sell out. People might be willing to drive a couple of hours to see an ELO concert, but going clear across the country to the coasts might be too expensive. If the venues are within a couple of hours of several cities, those would be the best, in my opinion, and they might be able to play 20 or more shows, if that's feasible for them. I would like to make a plug for the Central North Carolina area, for example, where we have a number of venues with a capacity of 15,000-20,000+, which would be a good size for ELO, (not sure if the spaceship would fit in all of them, though). Team Jeff, if you are reading this - I would highly recommend Walnut Creek -Coastal Carolina Amphitheater (outdoor, partially covered) in Raleigh; PNC Arena in Raleigh; the Dean Smith Center in Chapel Hill; and the Greensboro Coliseum (in Greensboro, of course). These venues are all within a 1.5 hour drive one from another and draw spectators from numerous communities in the area. PLEEEEEASE!!! I might be able to make it to Atlanta or DC depending on the dates, but that might be a bit iffy and a bit tricky.... Anywhere in the southeast would be good for me. I'm starting to regret not going to LA last year, at the time it just wasn't possible.

I would imagine that Jeff has his PR guys on the case looking for possible suitable venues to visit, the fan base will still be big in the US possibly a little diluted.

Is that a drug? I've tried 5 pints of Amstel and whilst its ok I dont think i can do it now. Note... I have flown from from the UK to Florida, New York and Barbados on seperate occasions but I'm buggered if I could do it now We used to go on holiday with sister in law and partner,he hated flying too and drank copious amounts of lager to fight his demons. I have a pic of him somewhere of him on a plane literally digging his nails into the armrests to allay his fears. I feel for you Jack.... We hit some pretty bad wake turbulence on approach to JFK. It's the closest I've ever been to losing control of my bowels involuntarily.

I remember once flying over the Alps and the flight was like a rollercoaster, overhead lockers were forced open and things fell out, people were literally screaming and crying...

We had a couple of mins on nonsense flying out of Kefalonia into a thunderstorm a couple of years back but no lockers opening. To be honest its not particularly a fear of crashing its more the fact that I'm stuck in a place that I cant get out of. Having no control over something when your a control freak is bad news

Lady stood up screaming we're all going die, then out loud said prayers. People told her shut-up, she was not helping.
I'm not afraid of flying, it's the worry of my seat mate and people sitting around me. Remember the good old days when you boarded from the tarmac?

You pampered Americans . Many of the holiday resort airports around the Mediterranean and East Midlands Airport just up the road from Brum near Nottingham you board the plane from the tarmac.
