I'd love to see Tony Banks and his magic hands, his wife is bloody lucky to have a man like him! Oh, and no. They all hate Phil Collins innit? To diss Phil Collins is to diss Geness as a whole. To have a drummer like him is one of the most beautiful instances in the world! :,)

Don't tell me, tell them - I don't mind him. He did ditch one of his wives by fax though (it was before texting). No need! Naughty Phil

Besides, Phil's a drummer with a lot of stress so you wouldn't understand.

Oho, I understand all too well. You men always stick together..no, actually I don't want to have that mental picture...anyway, just because he's a drummer he doesn't have the right to behave like that. He could work out all his stress on the drum kit, like Bevey the Custard King. Speaking of whom..... *big hint, sharp elbow*

Enjoyed your review, Queenofthehours! I bet it's still all in your head on a loop! What the heck throw at least a photo up! As Uno says - we want proof! " style="max-width:100%;"]" style="max-width:100%;"] I'm hoping that I will be able to hear it one day. Do they put these shows on cd? Thanks BSJ! Yes, a loop that I don't even want to end until I replace it with ELO's Friday Night Is... event . Come on BBC! We know you love 'em!
I'll have a go at posting my pics but bear with me, it's the first time I've tried posting real photos.
Nice one! I bet you love it too, it's fab! Edit: shame there's no Pandora's Box though, it's my absolute favourite and it was in all the trailers I've never heard 'Pandora's Box' with an orchestra. It's hole in the set matches the hole left by 'Hold on Tight' in Jeff's Hyde Park set. Typical Procol, though, just as uncompliant with what's expected of them as Jeff is.
For unomusette who had hopes to see the concert on the Red Button - here is the encore, ‘Conquistador’, captured by someone with a better camera than mine:
Look out for David Firman, the conductor, Jeff should hire him for his future orchestral gigs! Here is also a short BBC behind-the-scenes feature www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02ctd3h and some pics, again, taken by someone with a better camera than mine www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/galleries/p02ctxhp .
The BBC stuck almost exactly to the live show. They virtually put it out “as live” apart from a little splicing with ‘A Salty Dog’ and even Gary didn’t think that needed doing. To go all Jeff Lynne and technical on you – apparently the live sound and the BBC sound were different mixes. The live audience mix going through the desk at the back of the auditorium and the BBC mix going out to the outside unit. No mixing whatsoever took place after the show, just a little trimming for time.
While we're on the subject of Genesis, at the Dominion I was sat three rows behind Mr Mike Rutherford - there was a lovely quietness about him. I also saw Jeff Lynne look-a-like Chas Hodges of Chas and Dave fame in the audience.

If needed or on purpose, I love that the group were close to each other. No large space between them or way off to the side.
Thanks for the video and links.

Here's my photographic proof from the Procol concert. Sorry they are so blurry but they are still great reminders of a terrific night.

Attachment Deleted Dave Colquhoun in the middle, using the music stand. Sometimes he sat but he always stood up to play his great solos. Attachment Deleted Playing 'Conquistador' at the encore.
Attachment Deleted
The end of the concert, GB still glowing - left to right Dave Colquhoun, David Firman, Gary Brooker, Matt Pegg, Geoff Dunn, Josh Phillips.
