So there are a few more dates in Europe and then 5 more dates in the US. After that there is nothing scheduled. I haven't heard a peep about what might become of ELO after that. The chance of an extensive U.S. tour is all but gone. So the question is, what happens next. Is Jeff Lynne's ELO a going concern from here on out or was this a much appreciated last goodbye?? Would love to know how others feel this will turn out.

I had such hope he would play in the American south somewhere. It doesn't seem likely now. Looks like I will have to be content with Youtube videos while I wait for the DVD. At any rate Jeff will always be my musical hero.

I'd like to think that Jeff has had such a positive experience of this tour, and had his worries about the live sound put to rest, that he'd gladly plan some more live dates when his new songs come out. And include a few more countries.
I suppose that might be sabotaged if he's booked to produce a load more artists, all wanting a bit of Lynne magic and his name on the sleeve now he's back in the public eye. It's down to what Jeff himself fancies, he doesn't need to tour to pay the bills so we just have to hope he makes the right choice.

He said in a recent interview that he's working on new songs. Really? Where did he say that? That would be fantastic, of course.

As long as Jeff Lynne continues to live and breathe I'll be happy. All those years before this year we didn't expect anything but we had hope so I think this is what we should do next. This year has been like winning the lottery and then blowing it all at once. If that is the case then at least we had fun but if it isn't and Jeff keeps his profile up then we should all rejoice. But at least we had SOMETHING. It's better than the nothing we had to expect before Hyde Park.

I still think it's amazing that after all these years, he"s back! I hope there's more music, and touring after September. But I also hope he does what's best for himself. I just hope that means a North American Tour of some sort. I feel really lucky, cus I have HollyWood Bowl tickets. For every night! We've made it into a vacation, DisneyLand too. Some days I just pinch myself. Is this really happening. A few years back there was nothing, even the rumors were stale old things talking to themselves. I'm not going to complain if this is it. But I hope he doesn't disappear into his Music Making Man Cave again. That would be sad.
