Good news!
I hope that the unexpected day off was more preventative than a last resort and the extra rest stopped what could have been a rather nastier illness.
It's beyond me to actually understand why the schedulers chose to book Jeff such an extensive tour in such a short period. He's almost 70 years old and hasn't toured for 30 years - one night on and one night off gigging is something even young bands struggle with. A couple of gigs a week at most would surely be enough? With a longer gap before he travelled to Amsterdam.
I hope that Jeff's not put off by the hard work and illness and will tour again. If he's at all put off, though, I doubt it will be because of the hard work. He's got a strength about him that's beyond the body and will have been though more tour hardships than anybody in his new band!

time of year isn't great either, he is doing all this work during what would be pretty cold weather to someone who has spent all those years living in LA. Those who live here are all going down with colds and flu during this mad weather

Just back home from the Amsterdam concert, it was great and worth the long trip! You could hear Jeff wasn't totally fit, but his voice sounded really good. 18 songs were played, same setlist as the last gigs, except ain't it a drag and steppin'out were missing.
