Had a great afternoon and evening with Helmut83 yesterday. I showed him the sights of Birmingham which he has pictures of, we saw Jeff's star and his house in Shard End. Here are some pictures of the evening out. Helmut, Horace's Brother, Mrs Wimp and daughter Number two. Helmut in the pub Helmut and Horace's Brother Helmut and Horace Helmut keeping Horace in check with his spanking belt.

Great pictures, Horace - looks more like Birmingham Booze. Did you introduce Helmut to curry? And did he get to meet the sea monkey(s)? Not many people in the pub, by the look of it - so you did play Battle of Marston Moor on the jukebox, then?

Yes Helmut had his first Balti and he did meet the sea monkey (there is now only one but thats another story).
It was a quiet Monday evening out around Brum.

Brilliant pics, what was the verdict on the balti? And yes, the spanking belt should take its place amongst the forum's armoury of punishments. Although having Helmut83 in charge of it might not be such a great idea - what's that saying about absolute power corrupting absolutely.... I'm sure BSJ and meself would be the best custodions of such a dangerous weapon.

That went to show you who's got the spanking slipper at the moment, BSJ... Great afternoon the other day with Horace and the Wimp family, lovely people and very welcoming. Loved the curry, tried a few beers, went to Jeff's childhood house and we had a lot of fun in Birmingham, which btw is way more beautiful than what people say. I have photos of how he made me work with the tiles though and a few others I'll share when I come back. Checking in from beautiful Windermere now. skyclad1904, today I came across Borussia Dortmund's players in the center of Liverpool. By the way, I've seen announcements on Birmingham newspapers about the opening of a store which sells things as diverse as shoes, tablets, harmonicas and clothing. Do you know anything about it, Horace?

Do you know anything about it, Horace? Ummm, I wondered where those things in the box had arrived from, looks like I will have to offer people a credit to get the things back

Hey Helmut83 - did you receive a text from Mr Musette last night? We were out "researching" our route for your visit and thought we'd test the number you gave us. Of course the after-effects of First Time Balti and several pints of unidentified beer might mean the whole thing passed you by....

It looks like you all are having a good time (with lots of beer...). I really enjoy, seeing all those pictures, now I know the faces behind some names here and in bills chat...
@helmut: the derby on sunday wasn't good only a 2:2, but I have high hopes for Liverpool to win tomorrow...

Uno, I don't think Helmut is getting any texts as he cant get any credit loaded onto his mobile, he can access the Internet on it when he connects to wifi.

Aha, thanks Horacewimp, I expect he's having far too much fun to worry about texts anyway

Uno, I'm never too busy to attend your posts or requests. Horace is right, there seems to be a problem with my roaming or something I couldn't figure out because I can't load credit to my mobile nor receive text messages (although Horace, your message surprisingly arrived the day after I was with you). Any arrangement or any other thing, let me know by forum PM. I'll check them in the nights from the hotels wifi.

Fantastic, Horace! You shut me up really well there! Never again the veracity of the information provided by such a guide will be put in doubt.
