makes me wonder how many tickets are actually up for grabs at any of these type of events...by the time its known to the people who work there, this gig or the beeb gigs, then the friends of those get involved....then the promotors friends and cronies get some....by the time it gets to someone who will tell us the ticket bundle must be fairly dwindled....and lets be honest, if we knew would we apply before telling someone else...sure we would...or grab a free ticket to do the job....yep...so by the time we, the great unwashed, get involved....i wonder whats really left to fight over....
and how come its all going thru FTM wbsite rather than Jeffs own site where things seem stagnant....

great....so some knobs have got hold of tickets and not even intending to use them....just make some money from them....ridiculous situation...when will they ever learn and why dont they sell these type of tickets directly thru elo forums only to make sure they go to fans that will attend...and they also need to make sure they arent sold again....print names on the tickets and insist on photo i.d. at the door.... im finding all this very frustrating....47.50 was too much really, though i would have paid it, but i think it should have been 25.00, its a promo concert after all.....certainly wont be paying huge amounts of money on another website.... I would generally agree with you. However,I used stub hub to get my Hyde Park tickets. Only paid face value for them tho and wouldn't have paid a fortune. indeed...i only paid face value....got them thru a guy in Cornwall in the end.... ive just looked on Jeffs Facebook page and theres a lady saying shes missed out on tickets....Team Jeff reply 'Dont worry, there will be other opportunities to see Jeff'. there may be hope yet....suppose will have to see what news is revealed to the downtrodden tomorrow and monday on FTM.....

hmmm....heres something interesting....just read someone said they were already singed in to their ticketmaster account (wonder hwo they knew it was going to go thru ticketmaster) on the website and they got tickets....others seem to be saying they were sold out in either 1 second (because of the ticketmaster account holders already in on it) or ten seconds...seems using links may be a waste of time.....heres irony....i have a ticketmaster account....next time there are tickets up for grabs im signing in before i do anything else...
seems like paul mccartney got one....wonder how he managed that...(i met paul a few years back, nice guy, though i did watch him scratch his arse...!)

Don't understand the ire. Both myself and a colleague were trying on separate computers on Ticketmaster (in fact think I may have been on Live Nation and got routed to TM), we kept refreshing the page, both managed to put a ticket in the basket. Nothing sinister. It was obviously gonna sell quick, but they had strong anti-touting measures in place. You need your card you booked with to get into the show, and it was only 2 per person, so you could only tout one ticket and would have to meet the buyer. I've checked 4 outlets and am yet to find a single ticket on the secondary market. I'd be gutted if I missed out too, but don't think there is much to legitimately complain about. It's preferable to this daft huge radio 2 ballet for a tiny amount of tickets.
They could have picked a bigger venue, but it's crazy short notice; a little album launch show. This is just the beginning. There will still be much bigger shows in April evidently.
The other thing is, I think people were giving up too quickly. If there were no tickets at 12:02, that just means they were all in baskets; it doesn't mean everyone will then go through and complete payment.
I understand people's disappointment though.

You're right eldorado. No one has a right to expect tickets. It's a tiny venue. And it ramps up interest in what's to follow.
I'm a big strictly fan ( I know I know! ) I very applied for tickets every year never got any . Apparently there were 4.8 MILLION applications this year .Hence my earlier comment about ticket sales being more like a lottery.

I've never said I entitled to anything. I explained what annoyed me. Using a phone to try to book something this quickly out in the sticks I a bit different from my home pc or any that I have used for work. When someone has a ticket its easy to be casual.

I was at work and at 11.55 I started hitting refresh and refresh - at 12.05 I was still at it - eventually it took me to ticketmaster and it all timed out so I had to start over again... it was saying no tickets available so I assumed they had all sold. Seeing the ticketmaster made me think to try direct, I already had the ticketmaster app on my phone as I use them quite a bit. So I search for the gig and it found it... but it also said no tickets available.... by about 12:07 I was going to give up.. but eventually I could book... So either they didn't start to go on sale till about 12:07 (normally due to server overload at 12:00) or you get 5min to complete the purchase or the tickets go back on sale.... Maybe I got them ones! Either way, I'm very lucky.

Massive comiserations to everyone who lost out I'd have no chance of getting there so I didn't bother. Unfortunately I've had loads of experience of gigs being swept clean by touts, for much bigger venues such as the London 02, within seconds so even though this one was a sudden announcement it was pretty much a lost cause. Massive congrats to tedblight, you've pulled off a modern miracle! As for Ticketmaster, don't start me - worst ticket site in the world for frustration and lost purchases at the last minute *dynamites Ticketmaster* Here's hoping there will be more shows, best of luck to all!

What's also annoying is that stub hub are obviously expecting tickets to come up on their site as the gig details are all up there. Will be interesting to see what the prices are great....so some knobs have got hold of tickets and not even intending to use them....just make some money from them....ridiculous situation...when will they ever learn and why dont they sell these type of tickets directly thru elo forums only to make sure they go to fans that will attend...and they also need to make sure they arent sold again....print names on the tickets and insist on photo i.d. at the door.... im finding all this very frustrating....47.50 was too much really, though i would have paid it, but i think it should have been 25.00, its a promo concert after all.....certainly wont be paying huge amounts of money on another website.... I saw ELO in 1978 and I would love to be one of the lucky people in London right now. I'd pay $100 just to see the man play 2 songs on an acoustic guitar.

Nick, wasn't having a go at you...eldorado annoyed me...and to add insult to injury eldorado is selling a spare ticket for the tfi gig...he is covering it up by demanding payment for his travel...thats touting...making a profit....so for all his self righteous crud...eldorado is a tout...nice one...
