I could probably condense my list to just these three crucial questions, which I'd have to ask in order for reasons you'll soon understand:
1. Through my own research I've narrowed this down to two possible locations, but do you remember where the Garden Rehearsals were recorded?
2. Can I take a quick look at what's in that box of tapes under your bed? (Jeff turned a whole room at Bungalow Palace into a storage vault.)
3. Does that gold disc over there need polishing? [Used as a distraction while I leave carrying the reel labelled JET DP 402 FINAL MASTER!]

I knew you'd pop-up ShardEnder. I'll be at one of the windows so you can hand me that reel - clean get away! billwebster - could be a few of those songs made this album. But, how will we know? Has anyone asked him these interesting questions recently? His interviews now are same old, same old.

Yes, I bet we would do a much better job than standard journalists who always ask him the standard questions and get Jeff's standard answers, which we have heard like 200 times each. Now, these are questions worth being answered. I always suspected that Jeff follows this forum closely, much closely than we believe (in fact, I suspect the user camicohen is Jeff Lynne himself in virtual disguise). I bet when he looks at this thread he says "thank God journalists don't ask me this type of questions!".

Thanks for starting the thread BSJ ... As a noob, I'm a little nervous to do so... but I figure Jeff will be doing press... so what are some questions you've always wanted answered? Here are a few: - Where did you get the inspiration for the TIME album? (and the first song you wrote on TIME)
- What band or album inspired you to flow one song into another as you have on so many albums?
- How much unreleased finished material do you have stored up?
...and my favorite question I've always wanted to ask Jeff: - Who's your favorite Beatle?
On a related topic... unless anyone knows the answer to this already, i woul also like to ask: Is Eldorado a 'concept album'? What's the story?

I think there is a concept to Eldorado, about a person who daydreams of more interesting lives than their own humdrum one, as in the film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Pretty sure I've read an interview with Jeff where he confirms this

I'd like to ask him if he ever tires of the constant Beatles comparisons. The Beatles were without a doubt the best ever but people forget they had influences too. Journalist don't give the man his due as far as his own creativity. He has done so much more than they ever did. I know it's in part due to technology but my goodness what else does Jeff have to do?

What makes it harder, is that Jeff became buddies with them all, but John.

John did say nice things about ELO though, so he can be sure they'd have got on well. But I suppose that might just make it more frustrating.

Winter is a comin' and it's a need for warmth. Besides this, as chippa points out - Don't even bother arguing with a beard! You've been warned.

I would ask:
1) If there would be one thing you could change during your 67 years, what would it be?
2) What is the song you've written which you consider to be your favourite?
3) You've worked with all of your heroes but is there anybody else you'd like to work with?
4) Would you ever consider working with any of your former colleagues?
5) Could you give me a few guitar lessons.
