@horacewimp The US Grand Prix race in Austin, TX, on 22 October is only 130 km from me but they are using a ticket pricing system that changes daily depending on demand. The lowest priced single day tickets for race day are $299 USD and go up to $1000 USD. Crazy money! I am going to save up money for Silverstone next year.

The pictures you posted from this year's race are fantastic! Nice spread out track and seating in some of those pictures. It is much more cramped at the Barcelona race. Once I am all purchased in for that race, I will let you know and I'm sure we could try to meet up while there. A married couple may join - they live in Indianapolis, Indiana, home of the world famous Indy 500 race which is run the last weekend in May. Anyway, she works for Rolls Royce Engines in Indianapolis and is over in the UK frequently, but never has gone to Silverstone either.

More updates coming as we get into next year!

We did the semi hospitality package called “Club Silverstone” It includes seats in the Becketts stand for three days, your own marquee with seating, bar, food areas and decent toilets with no queues. It also includes parking next to the track.

Next year we hope to go to Zanvoort if we can get tickets if not might try Monza.

Thanks for the package information you had this year. Sounds like something we would be interested in, for all the obvious reasons.

I had a surprise email today offering me presale tickets for Zanvoort 2024. Purchased tickets for the pit grandstand for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Something to look forward to. Need to sort out hotel and flights but currently it’s too early to get anything booked.

I caught a bad cold yesterday, so I am missing the Queen + Adam Lambert concert at the track tonight. I haven't seen Queen since 2006 (when they toured with Paul Rodgers).

But all is not lost....I am seeing ZZ Top in town in 8 days, and have front row seats for that.

I do want to get to another race at the Austin track yet this year, though.

Sorry to hear you have a cold and will miss the concert. I was reading yesterday that they count the attendance of the concerts in with the weekend Grand Prix attendance which is a little naughty.

I didn't know that. It just dawned on me that I didn't post any photos from the Spanish Grand Prix earlier this year. What are the file size limits on this board?
