Since the band itself has celebrated the 30th anniversary of Misplaced Childhood and announced the up and coming "M18" album (initially via pre-order of course) I thought it'd be a nice idea to go through the band's first four albums with Fish because they're the ones I currently own and he's such a great lyricist I went with Clutching at Straws because although it was Fish's last album with the band amidst a suffocating turmoil that came prior to its release it deserves to be up there with Tommy and The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway as one of the best prog-rock concept albums out there, Tracks like "That Time of the Night, Sugar Mice, Slàinte Mhath" and "Incommunicado" never fails to captivate me and its concept story about a struggling self-pitying male alcoholic pathetically trying to be some poet is anything but happy I can tell you that!

hi PowWow, I never heard any of these albums, so sorry I'm not much use for this. I do remember that they opened up for Rush on I believe their "Power Windows" tour, which must have coincided with their "Misplaced Childhood" album. I felt bad for them because there was some banter between them and some of the audience booing them for anticipation of Rush coming on, and the singer saying to the effect of "if you don't like it you can just leave." So in the spirit of penance for the atrocities commited against them by that audience, I'll aim to give "Misplaced Childhood" a spin, and give you my thoughts on it, in the near future. Jim
