Did anyone see the Sky Arts programme "Rock Icons" about soft rock? It was only a 30 minute watch, and featured Supertramp, ELO and Barclay James Harvest.

Just listened to the Radio 2 Popmaster quiz. No ELO questions today, alas.
Ken must have heard me sighing, though, because he's playing Evil Woman as I type.

Not sure if this counts, but I've just heard "Right Back To Where We Started From" by Maxine Nightingale, on Boom Radio. Both Michael de Albuquerque and Wilf Gibson played on this 1975 hit song. Apparently Wilf also did the strings arrangement, hope they paid him his VAT. I only discovered Boom Radio a couple of weeks ago - a digital radio station but you can listen to it online. Plays loads of 60s and 70s songs. And legendary Brummie DJ Les Ross has a Sunday morning show! www.boomradiouk.com/?gclid=CjwKCAjw0qOIBhBhEiwAyvVcf_xQbhqt4aIBa66jPVuaU4rVGnyvU9eRNkYZThyLjcXhXGhSVdBbOhoCkjQQAvD_BwESadly, there isn't a Listen Again feature but some of the shows have been saved on Mixcloud. (I haven't heard Mr Blue Sky on the station yet, Timeblue ).

Who is the boss?………Les Ross
I remember he once visited a beer festival in Sutton I attended with live bands playing, he got on stage and got loads of heckling and swearing directed at him, not really sure why I always thought he was ok.

It wasn't a Radio 1 weekend, was it, Horace? (Les was on BRMB!)

Here's Les in action in his heyday on BRMB (from 9:52). Did you ever take part in the station's Birmingham Walkathon, HW? (from 6:06 in the clip). It sounds like brilliant fun.

Blimey, Les Ross, he was world famous in Brum.! Used to listen to him in the morning having my Weetabix, before school. Back in the good old days when there were genuinely local radio DJs and stations like BRMB.
