A few for me off the top of my head and in no order, are:
1) Thinking there is a police car, fire truck, or ambulance at a certain part in "Low Rider" by War, and then realizing it's just the song.
2) When the DJ cuts off the very cool guitar thing Paul Simon does at the end of the fade-out in Mrs. Robinson.
3) Thinking "Cool the 'doctor doctor give me the news' song is starting"; but then it turns out to be ' Born to be Wild', which makes for an immediate change of station.

I rarely listen to traditional radio anymore, opting instead for SiriusXM or streaming services like Pandora.
But going along with your question, the last time I was scanning through my car radio I came across what I thought was a hilarious Comedy Central parody, but it turned out to be giant drug addict Rush Limbaugh spouting his ridiculous nonsense.

Now now, 88, don't get me going on how liberal talk show hosts would be funny if it wasn't so sad the things that they support. Jim

The disc jockeys. If there are any, their hands are tied. No Johnny Fever's anymore.

Sirius and Pandora is helping. Just as Netflix, etc., is for TV. Cannot stand ads, so no problem paying not to have to put up with them.

Ads play such a big role in how the world works though...

@hekmut83. Yes, and that's why the internet is full of these pesky things. We're lucky we have so few ads. Those sites that have a ton of them take forever to load and are so distracting. "Would you like a site with those ads?"

Well, ads are pesky for me too, and I usually want sites to have as few as possible, but I can understand why they are there. They work on many levels. These days there are many people called "YouTubers" who are living on what ads in their videos pay them. Ads are also a very important source of income for YouTube, an income without which they wouldn't have enough many to maintain and update their servers and continually expand their storage capacity. They are also key for lots of firms who need their product to be shown to the public so they sell better and are able to keep on running the business succesfully and giving jobs to people. They are also important for the thousands of workers who dedicate themselves to create the commercials we watch here or on TV. I mean, ads are a huge part of the business world. Sometimes they get on my nerves too, but I can understand why they are there.

When the DJ cuts my favourite song off - most hurtful example when Chris Evans started talking over 'I Won't Back Down' after the song had barely been playing for 1 minute!
Of adverts - I can see the need, however annoying, but many adverts are useless. You don't start drinking another brand of beer just because the ad is in your face.

It doesn't necessarily work like that. If you change the beer brand you are consuming because of an ad, that's the optimum situation for the manufacturer company, but as long the brand becomes familiar to you the ad has fullfilled it's primary objective, which is becoming known to people. Then, an ad which is useless for you may be useful in other people's cases.

Hahaha... you shouldn't have used the smiley of the guy who serves it though, you should have used the one of the guy who drinks it.
