Does she write her own songs or does she have a team of writers? Her input mainly seems to be in making the videos as outrageous as possible.

She writes, not sure what percentage.

Being a dj (mobile variety. special rates available for forum heads) It's surprising how many bands/artists I hate. Until I see a whole bunch of people dancing to them that is. Then I love em!

BSJ is right, Madonna apparently writes some of ther music.
Nick, when Boca is world champion again I'll hire you for the mega party even I'll hold in my garden.

Yes, but does she write the songs we can't help liking? Or does she write the ones that end up as track 3, side 2?
Thought of another one. I find Adele to have a voice like a braying donkey but I LOVE Rolling in the Deep. Even though she actually sings "Eeyore!" in it.

I don't like Queen but find myself singing along to many of their songs.

She does a lot of co-writing. I like the broad.

If you take it against her for appearing like a co-writer in the credits (which means we will never know the actual percentage she contributed to the song), the same could be said about Roy Orbison for his co-writing participation on his highly acclaimed last album -not even one song is fully credited to him-.

I'm towards U2 like how J. Jonah Jameson is towards Spider-man. No real rational reason, I just am that way towards them. That said, I have to admit that "Where the Streets Have No Name" is a song I do very much enjoy. Jim Don't forget, you can enjoy this song without the annoying interference of "Saint" Bono No need to thank me

Jim I too hate Boner and UPOO as you all know and it's well documented amongst some of the threads here but.....The unforgettable fire is a brilliant song.....(Sung by anyone and played by anyone else)!

"This used to be my playground", another great song. BTW, if you can list so many songs you like from her, I'm sure Madonna doesn't qualify for this topic in your case, because it the exceptional element is no longer present. exactly!! you have to hate EVERYTHING EXCEPT ONE SONG! I'm sure Annie Lennox is a beautiful soul and Dave Stewart a great bloke to hang ouitnwith but I have to turn the radio off if one of there/her songs come on.Except It's alright when Im doing the bass part and singing harmonies urggghhhhh (shudders)
