Will Jeff still be writing songs when he retires?

I was wondering if Jeff Lynne will be producing, writing or just retire from music altogether.

My guess is that he will not retire. However, I don't know that we'll ever see another album. Someone in the know said that all Jeff does, all day long, is make music. I don't think there's any way he'll just stop. I have hope that we will see another album. I'm afraid that we may see it happen after he passes away. As to whether or not he'll produce again, only time will tell. I say all that to give you the best answer which is, who knows? We can hope and dream. As long as he breathes, there is hope.

Apparently he has said that although he's retiring,there WILL be new music at some point!

You have to figure that since From out of Nowhere came out in 2019 about six years have passed without a new album.  Jeff presumably has been working on songs for the last few years which, of course, included the pandemic period.  I would reckon the odds are good that we will see/hear new music from him before too long.  I certainly hope so, because ELO /Jeff Lynne has basically been the soundtrack of my life.

Oh I sure hope so. You'll forgive me and not treat me too harsh if I say that the last two well I'm glad to have we're not quite in the style I was hoping for I don't think I have Illusions expecting the old classic ELO Style I just felt that although they worked well for a retro respective sort of much if that's the right word looking back on his life that they were maybe if you'll forgive my saying a touch mopier than I liked but they were fine Productions and products. I hope we get something but I'm hoping maybe just a little more I don't know in the range of happy and happy appropriate for his age of course but I don't know if that means anything to anyone if I'm communicating effectively? Anyone else have a little bit of a feeling towards that like what I'm trying to say?
