In my opinion "Do ya"'s riff should have been chosen to represent ELO instead.
Only British people can vote.

Listened to this on and off all day, there were some truly awful nominees. For example "Stay with Me" by Rod Stewart, where's the riff? Same goes for "Atomic" by Blondie and "Alive" by Pearl Jam. I have nothing against them as songs, but memorable riffs? No.
Ma Ma Ma Belle should have easily been top 20. So unfair!

88! That's too bad :-( At least Tom Petty came in a little higher.
It's obvious from that chart that some people's idea of a guitar riff, great or otherwise, is very different from the next person's. A lot of the songs listed I didn't even know had a riff!

reviving an old topic - and maybe it's not the best place for this
but I'm curious to see what ELO fans think of Big Head Todd's guitar work
great song (IMO) from 2016, "Wipeout Turn" love the guitar, the piano, the lyrics - it's the full package has a Roy Orbison reference my favorite line "she gets a paper cut, it's time to turn the page"
