From the days when the Eurovision Song Contest, was (almost) still worth watching and hadn't turned into the ludicrous and horribly narcissistic camp queer-fest it is now.
Lee was the lead singer (the one with the 'tache, for those who remember) and BoM kind of epitomised what Eurovision was back then. They were very successful and popular for a while and always seemed to be regular fixtures on Saturday night type entertainment shows I remember. And that dance, was quite cute, (to an eight-year old!)
Martin Lee was 77. RIP

Completely agree with you fourlittlediamonds, very sad to hear about Martin's passing and a timely reminder of how innocent and un-frantic Eurovision used to be. But it would have zero viewers these days if it hadn't changed; people would never have the concentration span to pay attention without all the bells and whistles. RIP Martin

Sad news indeed, This particular lineup of BoM hailed from Wakefield, just 5 miles from where I live. I know some of there songs were a bit cheesy but Eurovision in those days was far better and more fun.
RIP Martin.

May Martin Lee rest in peace. My all-time favorite by this particular Brotherhood of Man is the 1976 Eurovision winner "Save Your Kisses for Me" #27 on American Top 40, they sound like Dawn, not to be confused with The Brotherhood of Man lineup with Tony Burrows and their hit "United We Stand" at #13 in 1970.
