I had a great afternoon meet up with lawrev at a hotel near Birmingham Airport. lawrev was doing a flying visit to Brum, we had a drink and lunch and a chat for a good few hours. We pretty well discussed everything about Jeff Lynne and ELO and certainly put the world to right. It was great to see you lawrev have a safe trip back home. |

We pretty well discussed everything about Jeff Lynne and ELO and certainly put the world to right. It was great to see you lawrev have a safe trip back home. Thanks, Horace, for your time and coming to the airport before I make my way back home. It was an enjoyable time at lunch chatting about all things ELO, the passing of RT, and other topics.  Given the renovation work at the airport, I plan on getting there 3 hours early so I don't run into problems, or this  Not bad photos for two 21 year olds!

@horacewimp - I recently took delivery of my Ivison Dakota One guitar in TV Yellow. It now appears as my avatar. Fantastic guitar, great visit to the Midlands and visiting with you!  |

That shovel is painted gold because it was used in a groundbreaking for a research & development facility in Florida. The shovel gets as much attention as the guitar. Both are in my office, right behind me.

It IS a great looking guitar!

It IS a great looking guitar! Actually, I've received as many compliments for the shovel as for the guitar! The shovel is 7 years old, the guitar is two weeks.

Apparently it's quite hard to see them with the naked eye, you need to be looking through a camera or other type of lens?
