Kind of a long shot - but is she any relation to Bev? How common a name is Bevan across the pond?

Bevan as a surname in the U.K. is certainly not unusual but it’s not a common surname. I would say it ranks just below average.

I'm always seeing a Bevan in UK movies or TV titles. Also, there was a Bevan who was an equal to Churchill in Parliament, who always gave 'ol Winnie hell during the war.
