Yeah, you are right about 10 songs. More could be too much and tire the listener. Does someone have a good idea for a concept album? I'm not saying I'm "right", just saying its my attitude which is purely subjective.  Jim Well, come on, Jim, you understand what I say. If you like it better this way, I agree with your attitude. |

And if you don't, I wouldn't complain if you want to sing one of my songs (you can even decide the key). |

Just want to announce that I have made the executive decision that the concept will be about neo-Nazi lesbians from Mars who form a secret underground society called Vegetarians Against Underwater Basket-weaving. That way it can just be a simple concept that any Joe Sixpack can immediately relate to. So unless any other ideas, ...  Jim |

Well, while I do prefer my idea for its universal appeal, ... ha ha yeah right, ... those sound great! Maybe one or the other space or weather, or even combine them? Hmmm. Thinking, thinking, any specific concepts related to space or weather or both anyone wants to propose? Ideally a nice simple one? We don't want to do a Pete Townshend special: "Duh, and then Tommy's mother's step-father's cousin gave him a pinball machine that was the only thing that communicate with the kid outside of the scent of Sally Simpson's hairspray, so this song is a about socio-pathological affect that it had on him when he was trying to watch tv and the cross-signals of the antennae would trigger flashbacks of when his mother accidentally dropped him on the kitchen floor at age 1, only to be picked up by his Aunt Betsy which caused him to have an attraction to women with false teeth and pacemakers, etc. ..." A spaceman whose mission was to a desolate planet is scheduled to travel home to his girlfriend/wife/lover but he is unable to leave due to the weather conditions, as the time gets closer to the scheduled departure there is a sudden let up in the weather conditions does he manage to blast off, you will have to wait and see.

Good idea up there HW; but for my part I'm a little more intrigued by Helmut's here. Hmmm. I kind of like it. What do the rest of you think, would that be something interesting enough and workable enough for us? Any other ideas out there? Maybe we can get a couple more ideas and then put it up for a vote/consensus? Also, are we all good with the idea of a light concept album like how "Time" is and with a simple idea like Helmut's, rather than a hardcore one like "Tommy"? For my part I like the idea of a light concept, and I like Helmut's idea. Something to get us outside of ourselves and we probably all have areas in our life where it applies to us in some way. I remember before my dad sold his business way back when he would hint "unless you guys take it over some day" (meaning me and my brothers), which the notion of being stuck in that for my life/career was very depressing to me. Apparently it's quite hard to see them with the naked eye, you need to be looking through a camera or other type of lens?
