So, Jeff has been inducted into the songwriters hall of fame. I think we would all agree that it should have happened years ago. I am curious about which song you think should have put him in the HOF. For example, I think he should have been inducted back in 1974 when he recorded Boy Blue. I love the part that says, "I've seen bold knights dropping down like flies, I've seen kings rolling in the mire, I've seen God point the finger of doom to our foes". And especially, "I have fought in the holiest wars, I have smashed some of the holiest jaws." Makes me laugh every time.
What song, or lyrics, do you think should have put him in?

I jest, I do think Eldorado is when Jeff came of age so to speak in terms of lyrics. Boy Blue, Poor Boy and Laredo Tornado contains great lyrics.

I agree, wasn't he trying really hard to impress his Dad, who was into clever show tunes and suchlike?

Maybe a classic rock lyric, like: Do Ya Do Ya want my love, woman?
