Hey Gang! Here are some links to my websites of musical offerings. This first one is my new bandhub site which you are welcome to get in on... Next up is my Troubadour Douglys site , Original and Traditional Music and Radio Theater. Then there's my Howl-o site, a Celtic and Renaissance duo. I keep lots of free mp3s around so you don't have to pay anything. (if you really feel the need to support me I do have a colored vinyl OOTB at ebay.) <but only til Feb 19 as I am moving back to my home in the Ozark Mountains and will be AFK for awhile, they're working on getting the internets and medical cannabis there LOL> Something to dl at least while we are waiting on Jeff's new album. I know I'll block out about an eon to listen to that baby!

Hey Gang!
Made it home and am slowly getting settled in.
Any latest news of Jeff's new album/tour? (I just had to ask)
Man it is good to be back in these olde mountains. Oxygen-rich, fairly plooution-free, clean, non-flouridated/chlorinated well water, down home town/farm, lots of peace and quiet. People always complain about the humidity in the Ozarks but I actually thrive on it. Even though a fungus is wiping out amphibians across the planet, the frogs are still singing around this particular valley.
Goode to be back in touch with ya'll, too, it's like bringing some friends back with me!
Will be adding more music at bandhub etc, as I get the studio more *fun*ctional. LOL
Love ya guys!

Hey, Secretmessenger!
I tried to listen to some of your music but unfortunately found some problems on the way. The bandhub site has this problem which I described before about taking a thousand hours to download (my connection is rather slow) so I end giving up or only being able to watch only a few seconds at the beginning.
When I download the Swedish traditional song from the Troubadour Douglys a binary file is downloaded which triggers an alert from my antivirus saying it's a virus or malware.

yes Helmut, I have found bandhub to be painfully slow, even with a halfway decent connection. the virus trigger is a new one, I hadn't ever heard that one coming from 4shared.com, but thanks for the heads-up, I'll look into it.

ahh yes, the good ol 1980's. Soaring madly thru the mysteries that come... I read somewhere, maybe here, someone put forth that they thought Lynne was inspired to do Time from "The Lathe of Heaven" So I read the book and watched the film, both quite compelling, the book a real page-turner. Time, one of the best concept albums ever. Looking fwd to hearing what you do with that track, mate!
“Those whom heaven helps we call the sons of heaven. They do not learn this by learning. They do not work it by working. They do not reason it by using reason. To let understanding stop at what cannot be understood is a high attainment. Those who cannot do it will be destroyed on the lathe of heaven. —Chuang Tse: XXIII” ― Ursula K. Le Guin, The Lathe of Heaven
“You don't speak of dreams as unreal. They exist. They leave a mark behind them.” ― Ursula K. Le Guin, The Lathe of Heaven
"For it is by dreams that we know we have slept" -Douglys

Helmut, Found this report on the 4shared site: from: www.avgthreatlabs.com/us-en/website-safety-reports/domain/4shared.com/30-day safety report for: 4shared.com Probably Safe This website is likely to be safe, although an extremely small number of users have reported potential malware. (updated Mar 24, 2015 GMT) Now that being said , I went to check the link and 4shared is not coming up at all for me tonite, go figure. Here is the link to my rendition of this trad tune known as "Traditional Swedish Melody", to which I add "The Green Comet" as I recorded it recently as the Green Comet Lovejoy was passing thru our skies. www.4shared.com/mp3/eWVhmkhuce/Douglys_-_Traditional_Swedish_.htmlMaybe some of ya'll can try it and see if it works for you, and let me know if it works and what you think of it. It will be on my upcoming album, which I have just completed a working songlist of some 18 songs. Mostly originals with two trad tunes, and not a "period" album per se.

Thanks, SM, but why does it keep downloading a binary file? That's what makes me doubt and don't feel safe.
