Alan WhiteReally sad to find out about this yesterday afternoon. I know he hadn't been that well for a few years and had recently withdrawn from their forthcoming tour but it's still a shock all the same. I've been a big Yes fan for many decades and saw them many times in concert - From Bristol Hippodrome in 1980 to St Augustine Amphitheatre, Florida in 2019. He was an immensely talented rock drummer and I hope his passing is recognised as widely as it should be. It wasn't just 50 years with Yes, he also drummed on John Lennon's Imagine album (and single) and George Harrison's All Things Must Pass. Over the past three years, either side of Covid restrictions, I've been priveleged to see some great drummers play live : Alan White, Carl Palmer, Phil Collins (singing only), Roger Taylor and Bev Bevan. Legends all, we must treasure them while we still can. RIP Alan White.

RIP Alan It's true that skilful drummers are very often overlooked, especially in bands with lots of players up front. I would add Brian Downey to soonerorlater's list of greats we should treasure.
