Very cool Perkins-McCartney video, Helmut; just watched it. Jim Yeah, it's fantastic. Carl Perkins was an amazing songwriter -in his style, yeah, the 3-chords type, but still- and you can see how Paul, who was a much more complex songwriter, admired him a lot. The mutual respect was definitely there and the "old friend" song was pretty moving. Thanks again for sharing. Jim

Definitely a great short one, I was used to Bob Seger's 8 minute version. Jim

Very nice Thank-you. When was this done? His album of covers and just two originals. It was called "Run Devil Run" and came out in 1999 or so. Jim Yup! Forgot this!

Another one by the Beatles. This one, for what I know, is a cover of an old Liverpool popular tune.

The 2-minute reprise is way better than the first one that segues way too soon and abruptly into the rockshow kickoff track song, IMHO.

Here's a short and sweet one from The Moody Blues' masterpiece album "To Our Children's Children's Children", by John Lodge called "Through the Eyes of a Child Part 2". Part 1 is a longer song, and a classic Moody Blues song for sure.
A couple other pretty cool short ones on that album are Justin Hayward's "I Wish that I could Live to be a Hundred" or "I Wish that I could live to be a Million".
