Let me try to break these down.
Let It Run ... I like it. It's like a more hyperkinetic take on Hold On Tight or Rock & Roll Is King.
Night In The City... The song has this appealingly uneasy feel, as if someone really is losing their mind. I think it's probably the most unique track on Out Of The Blue.
When I Was A Boy... One of the highlights of the latter day Jeff Lynne era.
Going Home.... An early sign of what was to come with Jeff's songwriting. It's right up there with some of the best songs of the late 1960's, in my opinion.
This was difficult, but I chose Going Home and Night In The City. I could have just as easily voted for the other two songs, though. A very strong quartet of tunes this time out.
