I can confirm this reissue sounds absolutely amazing, so full with more bottom end and all round clarity 👍. I bought the single 180g vinyl and the SACD , was a bit sceptical about the expense but really glad I did . Hopefully they aren't planning anymore ELO releases yet!! Might need to take another mortgage out!! Glad to hear it 👍

I tracked down a shop in the UK importing this title and finally purchased a copy of the SACD.
I have a fairly decent Sony multi-disc player and a very decent Denon amp with appropriate speakers....and I'm a little underwhelmed. Yes, there is a renewed sense of clarity and depth but, having then compared it to the 2001 CD remaster, the 2015 clear vinyl pressing, a 1990s US CD and even the original vinyl pressing, they all have their relative merits and limitations. It depends on what you want to hear in and amongst the mix (and what you think you're hearing!). After all, this is an album from 1974 and reflects the recording technology and limitations of that time. Perhaps the MoFi vinyl pressings are better than the SACD?
There's been no suggestion as yet that this will be the first in a series of ELO releases on this format. That makes Eldorado quite an unusual choice when you consider that the 'hit' albums have been ignored. I would even have rather they issued a representation of the Quad mix first two albums. That would have been more interesting!
