Mobile Fidelity is offering three sonically pristine reissues of the album. The 33RPM 180g SuperVinyl LP and the SACD version will be available in March, and the UltraDisc One-Step 45RPM 2LP Box Set will be available this fall. www.musicdirect.com/Explore/ELO

I was very interested in the SACD until I reached the check-out stage. Economy International shipping costs more than the product itself! So, untypically for me. I've backed away.
An album recorded by a British band in a British recording studio remains unaffordable in Britain!!

So is this the same pressing as the US version? The write up seems to suggest it. It's 180gram MOFI vinyl and also numbered,so if it's the same why is it almost double the price? like you say Horace, I'm out too.....

So this realese will be available on double 45rpm LP format? Can someone explain me how are they goin' to preserve the original flow of the album intact when almost every song on "Eldorado" has interludes?

My MoFi Eldorado SACD came from Niles, Illinois via FedEx yesterday, Thursday, March 31, 2022, it's No 000170, I'm disappointed it didn't come in a jewel case!

I was going to buy the vinyl but the p+p charges were more than the record and the firm that were selling them in the UK was double the US price...

Without access to the multitracks (providing these still exist), the best we can hope for is that they split each side where songs are joined by hard edits. Alternatively, new fades may have been created, but I'm not holding my breath for anything different. While I can see the advantage of going with the 2LP format on some occasions from an audiophile perspective, albums that were originally sequenced to flow in a more seamless way don't fit this approach, and you could even argue that it's unnecessary historical revisionism.

I can confirm this reissue sounds absolutely amazing, so full with more bottom end and all round clarity 👍. I bought the single 180g vinyl and the SACD , was a bit sceptical about the expense but really glad I did . Hopefully they aren't planning anymore ELO releases yet!! Might need to take another mortgage out!!
