I’ve got ELO Pt2 on the original Telstar vinyl I bought it when it first came out, Moment of Truth has never been on vinyl so might consider getting that if the price is ok.

Thanks for the heads up on this HW. Was it really 30 years ago?!! I remember buying the 7" vinyl, 12" vinyl, CD Single and even the Cassette Single of Honest Men - all on Telstar, as you say. I didn't realize that there was a vinyl edition of the first album at the time (it was the height of the CD era after all) so I look forward to hopefully picking up a copy of both in August. Incidentally and slightly off topic, I never bothered with any version of a copy of the 1000 Eyes single. For me it's a song that just doesn't work. The one that detractors could accurately point at and say 'you're trying too hard to sound like ELO'

We're closer than ever to these titles finally getting the reissues they deserve, but a few mysteries still remain: 1. Moment Of Truth receives the expanded treatment, but the self-titled debut album from Part II doesn't have single b-side Love For Sale added to the tracklist? Such a missed opportunity! 2. Those bonus tracks on Moment Of Truth are an interesting way to pad out an album that isn't quite long enough to justify a 2LP edition on its own, while also being too long for a single disc release. I see they're sourcing Eric Troyer's personal archive of demos for this one, but wasn't Local Hero a working title for Honest Men? I guess we'll soon find out. (Also, why nothing from the so-called Panic Room sessions by Phil Bates? I can think of at least one demo from that batch intended for this album.) 3. Renaissance previously reprinted the 2001 version of Kelly's solo album under the same serial number as that listed for this new version, which has a 2020 copyright date. Furthermore, they are aware that the video they've included for preview purposes is a fan upload of a different mix* that isn't representative of what you'd be paying for, right? Unless... In conclusion, these are still far more interesting than anything Sony has lined up to celebrate ELO's 50th anniversary so far, but I guess there's always time to change that. *To be very specific, The Bug Club sourced a clean test pressing of the US remix from 1983.

Perhaps it is the space background with the flying ship and the yellow colored track list.... it takes me back to when I first saw the Out of the Blue remastered CD for sale at Best Buy with the three additional bonus tracks. I was a kid then and seeing the ELO Part II rerelease makes me feel nostalgic. I enjoy ELO Part II, so this is quite exciting.

Your right, it does have a look of OOTB (I wonder if it was intentional?)

I remember buying an original Electric Light Orchestra Part Two debut album audio cassette at my then local Redlands, California Music Plus+ store in July 1990. That "flying ship" with ELO II is a Romulan Bird of Prey first seen on the Star Trek, Season One, Episode, Balance of Terror. PS-It reminds me of Out of the Blue I'd purchased on audio cassette back around 1986 at Sam Goody's Musicland in the Central City Mall, San Bernardino, California.

With what seemed like months waiting, my 2 cds finally arrived today. The 'Moment of Truth' rear writing is for me impossible to read both with and without glasses! I look forward to listening to them later
